can you manually move the carriage across the media? and then have a look at the clearance perhaps something is loose. my media clamps always make me nervous, but there is enough clearance they never cause a strike

you can get a hydraulic hose repair made up to replace one at auto zone (although 4000 psi there is a good argument for an original)

possibly wrong viscosity fluid added? diameter of orifices becomes critical at lower temp. possibly fluid not returning to tank quickly enough

did you saturate the felts on the captops with flush? put a syringe on the hose coming out of the captop? new damper? make sure the llines to the pump are not clogged
