  1. Scaffolding for over cab installs?

Wondering how most companies handle install for over cab installs. Such as a tractor with a big wind deflector like the attached image. Sometimes it just isn't practical to work off ladders. In the past we have used a forklift with a pallet on the forks, which isn't ideal. Our rolling...

  8. Printer Opinions Wanted

If you are only printing 2-3 days per week, do you really need to laminate and cut the same day you print? I'd look for a used roland pro 3, they are built like a tank and can be had for pretty cheap.

Any other info on this new plotter? Anybody seen it in action?
  10. Just In New Roland Cutter: Gr-640

After reading the specs on the new cutter and comparing to the old one... It's no more accurate which is really a shame. Faster, but who runs these plotters at max speed anyway? New cutting slot and tool holder seems nice though. The only major improvement I see here is the the 54" model is...
  11. Just In New Roland Cutter: Gr-640

So I guess the answer is no. They haven't fixed the tracking issues for print/cut applications... Bummer
  12. Just In New Roland Cutter: Gr-640

Yes easy enough when only 1 color touches the cut line. But when you have 2 or more colors intersecting the cut line, and the cut is off slightly, you end up with ugly corners, or unequal outlines, etc. Unless you are telling me this doesn't happen to you with long print/cut applications...
  13. Fabric Banner

I'm not looking to hem the fabric banners, only grommet them. Possibly add a 1"x1" square of power tape on the backside where grommets will go, but only if the fabric would tear without it. These are going to be banners for indoor use only. So you are saying that coated fabrics won't roll up...
  14. Just In New Roland Cutter: Gr-640

I wonder if it can actually print/curt accurately over 10'. The gx500 we have struggles to do this. Have been considering buying a summa plotter for its print/cut registration and accuracy.
  15. Fabric Banner

Looking for some recommendations on fabric/canvas material for indoor banners. Looking for a material that prints good with roland eco-sol max ink. Also want to make banners that can be rolled up/ folded for storage and won't crease and wrinkle. We normally power tape and grommet our banners...

  20. New Shop Printable Vinyl Storage, Cabinet, Etc.

Awesome job! Could you share some info on what you used for a spring? We have a few of the horizontal racks similar to what you have and have been wanting to add some vertical ones. This is a great idea.
