Don't get me wrong, there's a place for that and it's an artform in itself. I've seen some unbelievable work on bikes.
For your average doctor/lawyer/banker weekend rider who puts 1000 miles a year on a bike and never rides more than 50 miles in a day "customizing" means buying saddlebags and...
A wrap is the perfect way to customize them. Most guys buying them now aren't keeping them but a few years. A $2000 paint job that looks cool to you won't look cool to everybody. Your personal tastes can lower your resale value tremendously. Wrap the thing, it looks cool to all but a handful...
Had a guy come in this morning wanting a tiny banner made that he could stick on a 5" x 7" photograph so it would look like the people in the picture were holding it. 15 minutes of conversation later I finally convinced him to let me just do it in Photoshop for a minimal art charge. I told him...
If it's the pre-finished single sided MDO with the OPP backer forget about it. Paint won't stick to it even though it looks like you could just roll it on and be okay. If he's going to be that cheap just letter coro and silicone it over the front side. It will look like ass but it'll be cheaper.
You're gonna get answers all over the board on this one. The only thing that gets people riled up more than Rapid Tac is Sergio.
Personally I'd mount them dry if at all possible. If not I would use Rapid Tac over my personal mix in a heartbeat. I don't know why, the ingredients in Rapid Tac...
Shop around for the card that gives you the most back. We stumbled across a Travelocity Mastercard a couple of years back that gave me a $5000 credit limit. I put EVERYTHING we buy at the shop on it and pay it off weekly. Right now we've got around $1300 to apply toward our next vacation.
You're not in the banner business over there, are you? I've talked to several very wealth individuals who routinely need large banner orders for their churches and orphanages.
Stephen, do you design your own fonts? Stock artwork, like istockphoto, is just another tool at your disposal. You're paying for it's use, there's nothing to feel guilty about.
I don't know what in the hell happened. We were kicking ass through most of the Christmas season and the first of the year. Three weeks ago the phone just quit ringing. I'm still getting in enough work to keep the bills paid but it's like somebody flipped a dang switch around the place...
