Anybody? Very tempted to tape the problem areas off, wet sand, and try to blend in with some spray liquid lam. If that doesn't work I might have to re wrap the doors and then re letter them. Or maybe try a patch first but I know that will look like chit. Would just like to hear some advice...

How well does a vinyl wrap hold up on the side of a boat where half of it would be submerged under water most of the time and the edges of the wrap will constantly crash through the water? Will a high tack vinyl hold up much better?

Has anybody applied vinyl graphics to cor ten steel. Cor ten steel is designed to form a layer of rust which acts as a protective coating for the steel. Just wondering if this affects vinyl lettering at all? Will the rust bleed down over the lettering or cause it to fall off?

Also contacted Merritt Graphics. What do you all think a reasonable markup % for a banner like this? Perhaps I should ask in the premium section?

Yes these will be contour cut. I have used phototex in the past with success, but not with contour cut graphics. Can it be used for that? In the fellers catalog oracal 3268 says great for contour cutting.

I'm trying to figure out what the best material would be to use for pre-spaced removable wall graphics. Specifically I need to print and cut text (4'x2') to go up on a wall for 2 months. Wall is painted sheet rock with eggshell finish, so has a bit of a texture to it. I'm looking into oracal...

Sorry missed this one before I posted. Is the whole cut off by the same amount? Or does the gap between where it cuts and should cut grow as more material is fed through?

Wrong. Those posts you referenced say that Roland told him after the fact that the material is too thick... (covering their butt) Even though the machine will cut the material(OP claims). Just that it cuts in the wrong spot. The reason that would happen is that the thick laminate distorts...

Autoexe, Have you tried this method? If not, you should. It will tell you if your machine is or isn't defective. Don't let Roland tell you it's the lam, if you know your machine can physically cut the material (just not accurately)
