We print signs with horizontal flutes all the time (btw we don't charge more for either flute direction). Generally, if a sign is going on a centered post, you want the flutes running parallel to the ground to keep the sign from being bent around the post like a taco in the wind. As for yield...

Shipping on 10 24x18" Signs would be $14 and 3 days. Typestries, Signs365 or Signs2Trade might be your best bet for 10. We get pretty competitive at 25pcs or more, especially if the art can be screen printed.

+1 At the same time, good work gets a premium, so this might be a path you want to head down and take the risk. If this works out, there may be more business in it for you. Sorry I can't comment on the specifics, as I am not a wrap guy either.
