I didn't take me long to realize something wasn't right. You're right, it was hard to use and the chuck wouldn't stay tight.
I will NEVER use a hammerdrill again as long as I have access to an SDS drill.
This is good stuff.
Gino, I don't want to take sides, but I agree with you 110%.
I have told friends and family over and over again that one day I'll write a book about small business success. Chapter one will be 25 pages long.
pg1-12 Blank
pg13 Answer your phone.

We win bids...
I think this has more to do with the type of customer. I've been in business for 10 years now. Back when I had my smaller, home based businesses I would look for the cheapest option because it was all I could afford. I had time on my hands to maintain and replace.
Now, knowing I'm in this one...
Never used a hilti. I have used a dewalt hammer drill and a I own one of these.
I ran a bunch of conduit for our machines last year. Like I said before, everything here (including the ceilings) is precast concrete. The first 5 holes with my hammer drill took longer than the next 50 with the SDS...
+1 for Gino.
This is the real job.
It takes time to figure out how to deal with the peaks and valleys. The only way you'll fail, is if you give up. On the bright side, you should probably see a nice bump in the fall here.
Your comment reminds me when I laugh at people I talk to with their 9-5...
We get about one a day. Got one today to "STOP CHILD LABOR"
We don't even bother because even if it's not a scam, they are not a member of the trade, so we wouldn't sell to them anyway.
Still not sure how they make any money on it though. How much could they really sell generic "STOP CHILD...
Get yourself an SDS Drill.
Something like this.
If you have never used a Rotary Hammer you NEEEEEEED to get one. Our entire shop is precast concrete. The difference between a Rotary SDS Hammer and a Hammer drill (nomatter what brand) is night and day.
SDS is the type of bit some of them use...
What we're you planning on doing with the cup in the first place?
I'm not sure I would have used the cup...
All I can think about is the line from Dodge Ball... Necessary?! I'll let someone else post the rest...
