I have a fc-7000-75 I recently bought. It doesn't seem like this thing has much vacuum power at all. I'm getting quite a bit of blade drag across the vinyl and I've already adjusted the blade to where you can barely see it.
Thanks pmg. I figured it out. The problem was that I didn't install the driver on my computer before updating the firmware. I didn't think it would matter but apparently it did. I put version 1.6 on it.
Now all I gotta do is figure out how to change the language and I should be in good shape.
Yeah, I'm not sure what the original firmware was for it. Its a fc7000-75. The guy I bought it from said it was purchased back in summer of '05. Do you know where I could find original firmware for it?
Anyone ever had this problem? I went to update the firmware and now all it says is BOOT START ERROR when I go to turn it on.
Any ideas?
Graphtec is closed today for Columbus Day so hopefully I'll hear from them tomorrow.
One new thing I noticed that is different: if under Cut Controls you have the operation set to print only, it doesn't show the marching ants around the graphic you intend to cut until you change the operation mode to print/cut or cut. I prefered it the old way so that I can preview the cuts...
Get a Stahl's. I got mine on ebay about 3 hours away. I made a day trip and went and picked it up. Nice piece of equipment. Mine's a clam but if I were you i'd look at swingers. Easier to work with.
