Any good tech should be able to test to see what caused the fuse to blow! The fuse is in the circuit to protect by design! I am not a printer tech but am an electrical designer and trouble shooter! So if they just want to replace parts they are not technicians they are parts replacers by...
You need more than white between to stop/block image! If you had signlab 7 or above they have a plug in that makes it easy and even makes it see through (simulated purf)!
Try putting a pen in it and choosing the pen as the tool and see what happens! Could be any number of things from bad settings to worn parts or bad blade holder! Do you have a picture of the problem?
I would equate dampers more to an oil filter than and oil change, most dampers serve two purposes they are a reservoir for ink while the print head is away from the capping station and they are also a fine mesh filter to help keep the heads from clogging!
That come to approximately 62.5 hours! what do you think? The amount of minutes is almost irrelevant being a print head can go bad at any time! But it doesn't sound over used it sounds under used!
