i think 3M is also dropping a handful of lesser used/sold colors too.

the original helmets look like a metallic/foil base w the texture embedded in the material and digitally printed on top. i do like the 3M textured laminate idea. print on media you can, lam w the clear carbon, cut and enjoy! good find Walsh

i've had similar #s pop up onscreen. i think i was able to resolve it by reseating the ribbon cable (then eventually replaced ribbon cable).

look into "linking" raster images rather than "embed"ding them in your ai/eps files. you will need the linked files in same directory or a "links" folder within the saved file directory. this will greatly reduce master file size and improve your workflow both in open/edit/saves, and RIP...

roll down windows are fine to apply perf to. you could get by without any lam, however dust and water will build up in the perf holes and will make it harder to see out. if you laminate, ordinary lam works but you will not be able to see out (very hazy adhesive). optically clear is best...

for very large gradient color fills, i like to to use 21.2 LPI for a large dot and good open space to reduce banding.
