Just noticed this a few days ago, on 54" wide HP professional photo paper.
All print heads and inks have been replaced in the past few months and everything is well within warranty.
I originally noticed this when printing floor plans for a local developer. A lot of white space around the plan...
I lowered the vacuum and it had little effect. Added the colour bars and most of the issues disappeared.
I've attached a pic of a test piece and it looks much better.
Thanks for the help.
Ha, that very well might be the solution as I had upped it a bit before the job. I was a bit skittish regarding a potential head strike or scuffs so I made the change.
These are 46" x 80 prints, so I am not able to rotate the files.
The print heads are all relatively new (three months) and are still under the warranty limit.
I cleaned and re-aligned the print heads.
As suggested I will add spitbars. I'll send a pic of the results.
The attached images are from a house plan printed on our HP 365. Overall I think we're good but I certainly want to get ahead of this before it becomes a real problem.
Maybe someone can give me an idea of the cause (maybe alignment?) and possible solutions.
Picture #1, you can see a bit of...
Many customers walk around in a fog. That is to say they get busy with things, forget about you and what you offer. A friendly reminder may catch them at that right time, when they are ready to buy again.
Doesn't the same company own the Flexi software and the Adendo training platform? It's like buying a car and having GM or Ford charge you for the privilege to have them show you how to operate the AC or the wipers on top of the never ending lease payments.
My 365 is gone to shite as well.
In late June most of the inks were running low and the heads had exceeded the warranty by a huge margin so I figured I would do it all at once. So I replaced each of the heads and inks and all was fine in the world. About three or four weeks ago the reds have...
About three weeks ago I replaced all of the printheads and inks including the optimizer, and I gave the machine a once over and called it nice things. From there I completed updated calibrations on a few popular media.
All seemed good until the software renewal on Wednesday and everything went...
So, this is all on the heals of the subscription renewal. For the past year more or less everything has been printed with colour correction. Now without colour correction it seems to be back to where it needs to be.
I even went through the calibration twice and the second calibration actually...
I know the screen and the actual output will never be 100% in my world but this is brutal.
The first image is a thumbnail where the background is a flat greygreeny colour. The second is after a calibration thinking something may be off. Blech, not much better as greygreeny turns to purpley...
Maybe someone can offer further guidance.
When I add an outline in Flexi it shows up fine on screen but when it comes time to output on the HP 365 only one or two sides of the outline actually print. A real B if you depend upon the outline for trimming later.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Posted a space for lease in our commercial property and the first five (only five) responses were from people that were following upwards of 600 pages but had no friends.
Thanks Mark Z, just more spam to add to make the day just that little bit more unproductive.
If a vulture capital firm wants to buy me out for let's say about $40million or so (plus a one year consultancy fee of another $10million) I'd be happy to let them AI themselves to their hearts content.
We're looking at one in our area that is in as-new condition. Low mileage and clean nozzle check.
We currently use a HP 365 for much of our work but figured this might open up some options for us. Any thoughts on adding this to the arsenal?
Thanks for the insights everyone. I'll reach out on Monday.
FYI, the pic is from Martindale Pond in St. Catharines, ON. When not coaching my 2X partner and I row past this three times each morning. St. Catharines is hosting the 2024 World Rowing Championships in August and for us rowing folk...
I have a client looking for a 6' x 48' banner.
It will used for a week or so and rolled up and put away until the next event. Annual exposure will be the equivalent of about a months worth of outdoor use from Spring to fall and in full sunlight.
I'm looking for recommendations regarding...
You're right, stretching canvases properly is a skill. A hard one to develop when you are already involved with so many other tasks. And I find even more difficult to get staff to wrap their heads around.
