I did have one rather aggressive scuff again this morning on the first output. The increased vacuum seems to be today's solution. Thanks, all in the world seems to good again.

So I started a run today on the 365 and I had a few scuffs which were literally right in the middle of the print and seemed to follow the same spot as the roll unfurled. After some clean up and other maintenance that was over due I set up the job again and the problem seems to have gone away...

I think we're good to go. I output a few copies and even though it's just text they printed really nice. I then did a scratch test and the vinyl pulled and tore from the release paper but the ink held up.

The job is a 100 each 6" x 9" stickers for hydro poles. I have a chunk of KPMF H.O. Lemon Yellow. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens. I suppose I could always laminate it if that solves the problem. In the meantime if the price is right I may be picking up a used (almost new) Epson...

Hello gang, Are there coloured vinyl product that is suitable for printing with an HP365? Or am I limited to UV or solvent compatible materials? In this case I need to print black on yellow.

Green as in the colour or the environment? Either way, just like Teslas, there will be a lot of used Epsons coming on the market at very discounted prices.

Is Epson coming out with new stuff? I see a lot of vendors plugging Epson printers from about 25% to 40% off.

Hello Gangsters, I created a banner in Flexi 21, sent it to PM where I added grommet marks and bleed. When I confirmed everything and sent it for printing I got a RIP error. Eventually the solution was to remove the bleed and the grommet marks and just do a straight print. Any thoughts as to...

That is a good point. It's easy to get caught up in colour gamut, number of colours, number of heads, printer speeds, etc.

Lot's of chatter regarding who makes the best flatbed printers and who offers the best service, support, durability, etc. But not much about which printer offers the best ink and why. I'm curious if there are any really differences from brand to brand in the ink options they offer.

There are certainly a lot of POD providers available. It's best to really research and make sure that they are providing the product and service that reflects your needs and your market. An non-coated canvas print on cheap stock and then glued to cardboard (think cereal box) is still considered...

I would think the best tidbit of advice from this post and many previous posts is to not try to be all things to all people. The forum is successful because it brings like minded people together that share and collaborate on projects both here and in the field.

Thanks for the feedback. My initial thoughts was that it may not be suitable use of this equipment. So for this job, if it happens, we'll suck it up and trim with a rotary cutter. If it becomes a repeat than we can consider other options (printers and/or cutters) at that time.

I am looking at a number of options for a project and one option is to print a bunch of posters on the HP 365 and then have to cut them to size. I am not averse to work but if the Summa can cut these out for me that would be great. Or am I creating more grief than saving time?
