Not really sure but this sounds exactly how they make Metal Photo plates but instead of printing on them you burn them with a film negative? Maybe you should look into that?
We do this all day long in our shop with our Summa S2 T140 Cutter. We use the method of cutting all the way through the linear of our print and cut decals. It takes a little time to fine tune the depth and pressure but once its on the money you can't beat watching your decals fall out as they...
To help combat these email attacks. We just implemented Barracuda Email Security Service. basically you route your email through there spam filter and it pulls out all of the crap and delivers the rest to you. This works much better than the junk filters built into outlook or gmail because it is...
If you want information on basically anything computer tech on youtube the guy to check out is Eli The Computer Guy. I have learned a ton from his youtube videos.
Poking to upgrade our phone system. Have an old 3Com NBX and looking to bring new hardware and phones in. Looked at Avaya and Mitel. Any other suggestions out there
It's a 2 mil adhesive that is white on both sides. We order it with a single side Kraft release liner. But I think they have other options available. Give your local Piedmont Plastics a call they are our distributor. Another option is Necal who also offers a white double sided adhesive.
We bought a Mac Mini and installed it on there. The great thing about Caldera is you don't need a high horsepower computer to run it.
We were exclusively a PC Shop until we switched to Caldera. That was our First Mac in the Shop. It wasn't hard at all either save stuff to the network or use...
I traded my Onyx Thrive in for Caldera to run my two HP L260s and Caldera gave me somewhere around 1000 off the price for trading in my software. Also gave me 60 days to send it in while we made the transition from Onyx to Caldera.
our HP's are a yearly fee that let us pay monthly just goes on the company Amex to build points. It has been a god send a couple of times so far. They don't care how many square feet we print or our ink usage.
Our HP Latex printers are under contract through HP and we get next day service guaranteed. Includes next day shipping on parts to our shop. So far we have been under contract since December and have had to use it 4 times between our two printers. Worth every penny so far.
I completely Agree. Even the non-5K monitors are still higher resolution than most of your standard computer monitors out there. I don't think you know what you are missing until you get a high-res monitor for your main display.

Considering that 5K monitor is just under what I paid for my whole Mac setup good luck buying two computers with 5k displays for what I got my fully loaded mac for.
So far I can't believe how well and fast this new iMac is. I'm ordering another VisualRip Seat for our caldera so I can rip and print right from this workstation. Still trying to decide on the program we are going to use to cut from the Mac. I really liked CoCutPro and the plugin. Is SignCutPro...
Yes they are more expensive. They do have the same hardware (minus the 5K monitor) and yes it was more expensive than building a comparable new PC but really its not as expensive as you think. I priced out a very nice computer build and was right at about 2K and that didn't include a high...
They do have a Mac app store but I haven't used it yet other than to download a twitter client for my desktop. Other than that i've just been installing the regular programs. from either websites or discs. I so far like it a lot more than I ever did when I first started using Windows 8/8.1. The...
