Why not design everything in the program you know. Because in my opinion composer is a joke. We are a Corel shop so we did all layout and design in that exported as .cmx and printed on our edge. I'm sure Illy has a color pallet for the edge so you can set all your colors in there and export as...
Is there a way to take a radius and make it a square corner again. I've got a file of a bunch of letters and numbers that are in curves and It was custom drawn so there isn't a matching font that I can find. I need to scale these down but the radius have to stay at exactly .016 and if I scale...
I completely agree with ColaradoSigns we were Onyx Thrive users and had a lot of issues with it but we went with it because we were strictly a PC shop and after a couple of years I convinced my boss to buy a 500$ mac mini and demo Caldera. We switched that same week. It is by far the best rip...
Rick, I hope you don't mind if I took your idea and tweaked it a little bit. I also watched the video you posted and learned a lot just from watching that. Just keep it simple to start and don't over think it.
Edit: When I attached the image the color didn't show up quite how I wanted it too...
Rick,
Thank you for the time you took to thoughtfully layout how I can improve and what I can do to help my designing process. I also think that the logo you did with the T and C above it is absolutely brilliant would you mind if I took that idea and played with it?
OldPaint, Sorry to jump to assumptions. Yes I was able to take 4 years of Graphic Design in high school. It how ever was a lot of different styles of production and designing in 1. I should have said I don't really have a lot of experience designing logos.
I don't know what you are trying to insinuate but if its an insult; This is why most people don't post logos and work on here because people like you are always quick to criticize without giving quality feed back. So far everyone else has either said just stick with the old logo which is fine I...
It's been a long time since I have designed a logo. I took 4 years of graphic design in High school (10+ years ago) and 2 years in college. I've always hated our company logo I think its boring so this morning I couldn't sleep and decided to spend a little time trying my hand at coming up with...
Ours is a program called Advanced Accounting. Its not really a manufacturing software its more of a POP software that we have used for what we can but as we grow larger we are looking for a true Manufacturing ERP. We are in the same boat looking and doing demos of every software that looks...
Yeah its going to be around 15K for us if we decide to go with them. We need a robust system as our current system is causing more problems then helping us. If you didn't go with E2 can I ask what you ended up going with?
We had a sales man come out and demo their software yesterday and it looks really powerful and sophisticated over how we are doing it now. Was looking to see if anyone on here uses it and has any reviews of it.
Please don't make the mistake my company did when purchasing a large format CNC Router. We went with the cheapest option we could find. A small company out of Michigan and it has been nothing but a nightmare. It spends most of its days sitting collecting dust because the software that runs it is...
Absolutely. We ran Onyx Thrive 11 on our 2 HP L26500 for about 2 years and then we started having some troubles and with it and I wanted to try something else so I downloaded the demo of Caldera and put it on a mac mini and oh my was there a huge difference. The other guy who runs the printers...
I wouldn't Run it without coolant. If you have coolant it is all going to come down to Speeds (RPM) and Feed (IPM). We route 6061 Aluminum all day long here but we have a different brand Router. 6061 cuts like butter with the correct Speeds and Feeds
