  1. UV printer rash

Cool Fact: According to science, the "average human" is encased in 22 square feet of skin. Obviously some have less....some, a lot more. Unless you're totally wrapped in Tyvek, PPE covers only a fraction of your dermal real estate. JB
  2. Question where to buy a "blank" for plaque production

Yep...sand casting is a very old process. What's even more amazing is how the patterns are created using a photo polymer. Some patterns are still hand-set using letter forms. Bas relief patterns are typically hand-sculpted from clay or polymer. Submitting an order electronically takes 10...
  3. Question where to buy a "blank" for plaque production

In another life, I was a tool and die maker. I literally guarantee you that you'll spend 100X more (labor, tooling & frustration) trying to mill a bronze plaque, only to have it turn out looking poorly. You'll have tons of tool marks to polish out, and you will not attain the background...
  4. Illustrator FINALLY increased canvas size by 10x

Technically, we're both right. I was looking at total art board real estate (area). JB
  5. Happy Thanksgiving Yall

I didn't forget it. We go full-berry...none of that gelatin stuff. I like it on stuffing. I'll bet it is good on pizza as you suggested. JB
  6. Illustrator FINALLY increased canvas size by 10x

Hey, I think it gets even better.... Unless my math is wrong, it's actually 100x bigger. (Ten times larger each direction means 100 of the old art boards can fit in the new Illy). JB
  7. Vinyl with strong glue!

There are numerous products here in the USA. There is nothing worse than being recommended something you can not get. Since you're from Slovenia, you need to ask this question to the suppliers you have available. More specifically, are you looking for colored vinyl, or print media (vinyl to...
  8. Question Is It Just Me or...?

Grammarly will be the downfall of our society. JB
  9. Happy Thanksgiving Yall

    That says a lot.... JB
  10. Happy Thanksgiving Yall

Have her make an additional place mat for me. I'd definitely be game! JB
  11. Happy Thanksgiving Yall

Well, you have to admit it...paper plates reduce the incessant noise of clinking utensils while trying to watch football. And you can have the entire mess cleaned up in between commercials. What's not to like about that? JB
  12. Happy Thanksgiving Yall

Ok...now you have the responsibility to identify these wonderful looking dishes. Start at the 3 o'clock position and go counterclockwise. If I had to make a wild guess, the first one looks like sliced kiwis with toasted marshmallows on top...but I know that can't be right, can it? Next year...
  13. Happy Thanksgiving Yall

4+ hours meal prep (including shopping time)....add another two hours to de-bone the carcass, wash the dishes and tidy the kitchen. YMMV if you have helpers. I guess we can be glad it only happens once a year. JB
  14. Happy Thanksgiving Yall

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but today seem especially nostalgic as it has become my turn to do the turkey. It's just the wife and myself today, but Saturday is the "big one" at the inlaws. I remember snapping this photo of my granny (foreground) and great aunt back in 1979. Gran...
  15. I remember..

Nailed it. Is it any wonder why the arts and crafts movement (manual trades) seems to be making a wildly astounding comeback? I'm not saying we should become Luddites, but FFS....it sure wouldn't hurt to make strides towards simplification instead of being pulled along by "the machine". JB
  16. I remember..

I long for a hypothetical world-wide power outage that lasts for one month. I'm sure the narrative would be totally different once we all gathered again. Our grit, creativity and concern for humankind would never be the same....and hopefully for the better. JB
  17. Clean air compressor for new CNC

I run a 185 CFM diesel compressor and route the air through a 200 gallon receiver which drops the temp. considerably. You're right, the air needs to reach dew point to shed the moisture. I strongly suspect that the OP's compressor will not be generating a significant amount of heated air...
  18. Clean air compressor for new CNC

Aside from a refrigerated dryer, a good coalescing filter/extractor will suffice. I use LaMan. They're pricey, but they work well. I run everything from the 50 CFM model all the way up to the 250 CFM. They're awesome. I do sandblasting and the air has to be practically bone dry...
  19. USDOT/WB truck numbers reversed?

Sounds like a job for digital message boards on the sides of the cab.....mark my words. JB
