Art air girl had the best advice. If you work in an existing sign shop you wil not only learn how to make signs, but also learn how businesses are run. If you start selling as you learn and turn out bad products, it could hurt your reputation for a long time.
I'm about to move my printer. I read in an old post that I should lock the heads and remove the ink cartridges. I can't find any instructions on how to lock the heads.
Anyone been through this?
I'm currently paying $1200 a month for 1200 sq ft. The new place is about 2900 sq ft. He's asking $2500, I offered $2000. We'll probably end up somewhere in the middle. The neat thing is there's car wash attached to the back of the building. He must be behind on his rent because the owner...
Never mind. I found the problem. The printed image is larger than actual size for some reason. When I send it to the cutter it cuts the correct size. Now I have to figure this out.
I justbought the CE5000. I'm having trouble setting up the contour cut. It reads the first reg mark, but it only reads the second mark if it is within about 8" of the first mark.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Just bought a CE5000. Connected it to Vinyl Master Pro (com1 port) and cut with no problem. Then I connected to Cutting Master from a differnt PC (USB port), also cut fine, but when I went to back to the PC running VMP it cuts the file 400% larger than what was sent.
Could running Cutting...
I agree with isign on the larger printer size. ONly about 1/3 of the banner that I print are less than 36". I think you will be sorry if you get a printer that prints less than 48".
As for print and cut. I think they both have their advantages. If you have a small shop the roland will save...
I just had this problem. I bought my grommet machine brand new on ebay. They sent #2 grommets, but none of the #2 grommets from Fellers fit. I had to go back to the people I bought the machine from.
I pray that they never go out of business.
