  1. Prints Mounted to Coro Curling...

I've noticed when applying 3651 to my substrates that it is curling within seconds of taking the backing liner off, used to lay flat before. I'm using a Colorspan 72UV printer. Frustrating when all the sides curl at once, gotta spray it FAST!
  2. How did you come to find Signs-101

Found it while searching for some answers when I first started out, now I am finally able to answer a few questions here and there.
  3. This one is probibly simple, but im unsure

Search for Palatino Linotype, and you'll more than likely find different versions of it. The one I have is just like your pic except a little thicker.
  4. Looking to get solvent based printer...

You can get a Mimaki JV33 new for $18k or I've seen JV3's around $6-7k used. Personally I love UV printers, but spending $60k isn't easy to swallow.
  5. Print onto Chocolate??

My friend owns a Mortgage Co. in town and wants to order some. I told him he'd better wait until December.
  6. ANOTHER Juice Drops deal $9.99 Heads up

Nice stuff, got a couple sets coming.
  7. Print onto Chocolate??

I was out of the office when an old friend dropped by and left me his chocolate business card. You can actually eat it. I have found several companies offering these products. Anyone know of a website selling these printers?
  8. Vinyl ?'s

Just an update. After using several brands of vinyl with the R-Tape conform series, I have found that LG Chem vinyl will always edge curl due to the backing paper. Oracal, 3M, Avery..all stick well with no problems. So, unless you like edge curl, stay away from LG Chem.
  9. Vinyl ?'s

Gotta love the humor in this! But seriously though, I think I may start folding the edges. Great tip Leigh.
  10. Vinyl ?'s

I ordered 4075 conform myself because it says it resists edge lifting and doesn't curl. I can't get it to STOP lifting and curling. I'm not sure what to use now. Before, I used Clear Choice AT-60 since I do sell alot of stickers to locals and they like the clear stuff. The AT-60 never curled on...
  11. Roland Camm-1 cm-24

Found the answer OK, this will be obvious to those using a Roland. This is my first. I had the pinch rollers set too close. Apparently, the cutter reads the width of the vinyl by the rollers location, so, it only cuts between the rollers. I know the rollers go at the edges but my last cutter...
  12. Mimaki Print heads

I believe it was first made in 1990. But it is still a good printer, 720dpi and converts to solvent, even has a take up mechanism. Somebody has to have parts for this thing. It uses Epson 3000 piezo heads.
  13. Mimaki Print heads

I bought this Mimaki JV-900 printer (same as JV-1300 only smaller). It needs new heads but I am having a hard time finding them. Anyone know where I can buy them without having to pay Roland at least a grand for a service call plus parts?
  14. Roland Camm-1 cm-24

Just got this cutter and not sure if it is working right. :help: Here's what it does: I turn it on, press Setup, this then moves the blade along the vinyl to determine it's length and then goes to the origin point. It goes almost the full length, then returns to an origin point about 7inchs...
  15. Mimaki JV-900

Anyone know where to buy new print heads for this model? How about a manual? Thank you.
  16. Flexi - 8 Anybody using it?

It's been awhile so I should introduce myself. Bought a vinyl cutter a while back to mess around with and cut names and numbers for our Off-Road class 10 car. Ended up getting asked to do many more jobs and it's been slowly progressing. I love doing this type of work and want to get much better...
