The reason I asked if it was a Canon tech was because there has been a mandatory upgrade in place for a while to get rid of the degas units. They make little difference in a properly functioning printer. No new machines have them.
I’ve attached a photo of ink pumps that are going bad. They...
I believe most degas units have been long removed. Is your tech a canon/oce guy or dealer?
Second, is the meniscus filter getting filled with ink? It’s only a failsafe and there are other problems if this is happening.
Third, check the ink tube labels on all the white connections. Our...
You can try 70/30 acrylic/distilled water to wipe the acrylic. Helps remove static.
Also make sure you’re height is not higher than it should be. Even a small amount can make a difference.
Also try using fine art mode or quality density then follow with white flood. Higher quality modes...
Danger Will Robinson!!!
See if they just turned it off and let it sit or if they flushed and drained.
If someone just turned it off they probably did not maintain it properly either.
Yes we still use the 6370 and the 7200. we mothballed the 6200. The 6370 is our preferred printer. The 7200 is really a fabric printer which we re-engineered for chromaluxe.
Ben, I know exactly what you mean. We fought with color shifts on ChromaLuxe with the Epson F7200, 6200 and 6370 printers since we started doing metal. It was constant problems with no help from UW or Epson. The biggest problems were the prints would cure way too yellow.
We switched rips a...
I know the humidity is a contributing issue. Fortunately we haven’t lost a print in a week. We’re looking into an environment control unit for the HVAC. Here in Arkansas it’s too humid in the summer for our sublimation process and too dry in winter for the inkjets.
Thanks so much for the replies.
Rx7boy was right on. There was a piece of fiber stuck to the topside of the carriage tray hanging out slightly near the magenta head that was wicking ink until it dripped. I’m heading to Arizona tech school next week and just received access to the tech...
We’re 3 months new with the arizona 2380XTF and it’s been going well.
This week it started spitting on the prints. Happening on white floods and randomly on other colors. We print mostly photographs on acrylic and dibond so a spit ruins the piece. A magenta spit was preceded by a blocked...
It happens buying used with no warranty. That is part of the calculation. Sounds like the broker had nothing to do with packing and shipping. Did you really expect the shipper to research how to decommission and prep the machine for shipping? Did your purchase agreement say the seller agrees...
Not available in onyx 21. You can turn the media counter clockwise on the summa. Load the file manually and rotate it 90 degrees in goproduce. Output job and locate a registration dot.
Turning off the barcode doesn’t save you media either as it still requires 3” on the vertical axis.
Is there a way to get onyx thrive to print barcodes on the side instead of top? Printing anything wider than 64” won’t fit on the cutter.
Alternately is there a way to tell the F1612 to read it rotated?
Did you have a trained F1612 technician install the machine and connect the power? I know the machine needs three hots, a neutral and a ground.
Here is the three phase wiring if that helps
The ship print is not what you should be using to control color over time. It’s a canned print to confirm the machine is functioning properly upon install. Over time printhead wear, environmental changes and media differences color will shift.
Does the color shift happen in all print modes?
