I'm running a BN-20a (due to space constraints and the outstanding print quality). It's slow, but not THAT slow. The real slow is the cutting, but the print isn't really that bad. For perspective, I just printed out some wall maps and an 18"x40" took just under 20 min. I've got a separate...
I've got a BN-20a and have absolutely nothing but positive to say about it. The print quality is phenomenal. Sure, it's relatively slow when compared to most any larger machine, but in the grand scheme it's not THAT slow. I rarely find myself waiting on it. And TBH it doesn't sound like that...
A little confused by your post, but if they were never exposed then you'll need to expose them (just set them out in the sun for a little bit). If they were exposed then just hit them with your remover like normal. I've reclaimed screens that were multiple years old plenty of times.
What?! Bigfish is out of it? Bummer! The microdot adhesive stuff he had might be a good magnet alternative. Can also get it from Halliday Digital Supply FWIW
If you're just using the saw to break down sheet goods to fit in the laser, how precise do you really need your cuts? A tape measure, chalk line, and a circular saw will likely do what you need and save you a ton of $ unless you need the precision for other projects.
All good here. I'm in the middle of moving from near Winter Haven up to outside of Gainesville. The boy, the dog, and I rode it out up there without hardly anything to speak of, save losing power for roughly an hour and then being rudely awakened because I forgot to turn out the bedroom light...
I was thinking cutting strip too. I've also heard of some folks having this issue where the thing is out of level and one side will cut cleanly where the other will not. Thankfully I haven't experienced it with my BN20a. What media are you running? 200 seems pretty high but maybe not. 50 seems...
If you don't have color swatch books and need me to look at something to compare LMK. Happy to do it.
I did eventually find a suitable gray in a different brand. Don't recall what off the top of my head. Had to eat the cost difference but it was minimal.
I've had mostly great luck with 4over and the handful of times I didn't it was fixed quickly enough. That being said, I've also used Sinalite a few times with no complaints, and of course Signs365
