I see. I guess I'm so use to sublimation printing. Every thing is covered in ink, no matter how close I stick my nose. With wide format the closer my nose gets the grainier, or should I say pixilated?, it gets. My tech says I'm just too picky :covereyes:. Solid colors are actually not to bad...

I use Cobra inks with the refillable carts on two WF1100 printers. I can say it is cost effective, as you do save quite a bit money over oem inks. One thing is if you don't use them daily they will clog a little, but nothing a little head cleaning doesn't fix.

Another option if you have a heat press is Plastisol transfers. Then you can use 100% cotton shirts. You would still need to contact a screen printer, but you save on the shirts and time because you can produce your shirts as needed. That is if you do the same designs over and over again. It's...

Nope. It needs to have a lot of polyester in it. 100% polyester for great results. 50/50 looks ok but it will fade due to the ink washing off the cotton fibers.

lol..been there. I used Rave x4 hair spray on a 100% cotton shirt. Funny thing is it worked. Albeit, kinda crappy looking, but it worked.

They are great inexpensive printers. Epson will sometimes let them go pretty cheap on the website.

My CJV30 was doing something similar. I ran a "Dot Position Correction" and feed compensation. Fixed it right up. You can also perform the feed compensation while printing, if you see some banding going on.

Hey Mimaki guys, I'm having grainy print issues with my CJV30-130. I'm using SS21 4 color ink. Rip is rasterlink pro5sg I'm using IJ180c with the correct profile. Dark colors come ok with deep color, but lighter colors are way too grainy. Any insight?
