I'm not sure with Onyx but Colorburst 9.3.1 had orange and green issues. They realized the RIP was not pushing enough ink through those channels. Colorburst 9.3.8 came out as an update and corrected those issues. We are now running Colorburst 10 with no issues. We can do full rolls overnight...
the tanks sweat due to differences of temperature inside the tank vs outside the tank + humidity in the air. like glass of ice cold drink sweats on the outside. also those large metal tank expand and contract with heat and cold. liquid edge seal can help PW.
Dont print for months? You should then outsource your jobs. You cant have a solvent printer sit for months then expect it to have full ink carts and print well. It's a commercial printer not a desktop home printer. It needs to be run. 2K loss and you dont print for months? I am guessing it...
but why? you went from .50persqft to .25persqft? you should be passing on the ink costs to the customer. cheap inks will only clog your heads and you will end up with a $5000 problem.
sort of like a possible client i have pending. he want photos of 1920 monaco grand prix for a 50'x30' backdrop. I have search everywhere and photo from that time that large do not exist.
Hi - Welcome - and it is great you are supporting our Epsons.
We have an Epson GS6000 and it runs runs runs. 7yrs old and going strong.
We've replaced 2 heads on separate occasions. no other problems.
We run full rolls overnight unattended. no problem.
I occasionally get a service error...
I wouldnt touch the foam. A while back I was painting a house and the helper while climbing the ladder put his foot on what everyone thought was a solid piece of sculpted stone trim around window. well the corner chunk ripped off. Major hassle.
lower your preheat. paper backed vinyl (cheap) is affected more than Polycoated paper liner 3MIJ35. I hate the cheap stuff because of that. it causes head strikes or i have to lose 36" off the roll each time i begin a job. so whatever savings you think you were getting ends up in the trash bin.
It all depends on what printer you are running. solvent - flush the heads. UV flatbed - could be an air bubble in your line. purge the lines. Canon AQ IPF9400 - put a new print head in.
might be too much downforce pressure. reduce your pressure.
You can also set up your cut layer so it cuts past the corners. so your vector cut file corners look like X. So instead of tuning the sharp turn the blade cut past it - lifts then begins a new straight cut. but that corner is not...
We run a CET Q-1000h with white.
Unless you have a boatload of white work i wouldnt base my choice of printers solely on that. Outsource your white work until you have plenty of orders for it.
