i know with X5 that if you don't use the spot color in the pre-loaded roland colors it wouldn't show up. I tried to create a spot color like i have in previous versions of Corel and it wouldn't work.

uncheck the convert spot color box...once exported it is no longer a spot color which versaworks needs to differentiate print vs. cut.

for short runs of shirts, $10-$12 is not unreasonable.

Hmm, not sure about this. It may have a treatment on it for waterproofing which would effect heat application. Out of our products would say our SPECTRA Cut Plus. It is made for nylons and other synthetic fabrics. But I would still test adhesion to be sure.

we have had a very positive response on these units as well. Moved quite a few at the show as well. This unit is a perfect fit for short run apparel jobs. Imprintables has materials stocked to fit this machine for apparel, decals, glossy paper, and even banner.

This is definitely a good practice. Some materials this is not necessary, but in doing this, you will get your best results in cutting and even weeding.
