  1. Throw me a lifeline here, font id?

Love it - sent me a low res jpeg for some decals. Anyone recognize this font? Sure look familiar, just cant put my finger on it. Thanks a million!
  2. TraceMyIp.org

In a previous professional life, I used to maintain and do a few websites for radio stations. We tracked things like unique visitors per month, and could then track how many and which pages each of those unique ip's visited. It gave us a real time look into which links were working and which...
  3. TraceMyIp.org

I thought most hosting providers gave you this information in a monthly summary?
  4. Daily Maintenance JV33

I cant remember if i set mine to 8 hours or 12. Mine shipped set on 24. I think I set mine at 8 hours.... i figured a little preventative maintenance is a lot better than a head replacement later. I could be wrong though, you might ask Artbot, he's the resident mimaki genius :)
  5. Pretty Sweet!!

I want to know how cold that is, he is able to touch it a lot longer than I would have thought to move it around.
  6. Old sign I found in my new house

Cool, did the house come with everything in the pics? That old washing machine could be retooled as a laminator better than my daige!
  7. not.sire.if.its.possible, latex.conversion?

Wow, looking today, I didn't realize how bad my typing was on my android phone. I need smaller fingers, or they need a better keyboard :)
  8. not.sire.if.its.possible, latex.conversion?

With all the hype over the hp latex printer, and my dislike (putting it mildly) of my ecosolvent ink... I was wondering, is a latex conversion possible? I don't know much about the differences in the delivery between solvent vs. Latex, etc.. so I am sure its a crazy notion... Been thinking...
  9. Daily Maintenance JV33

I manually clean mine every week, and inspect the print head for lint/etc.. I will usually do a head soak every two weeks or so Depending on a test print every few days. I think the real question here is how frequently do you have your cleaning intervals set? This machine is fairly capable of...
  10. My Daige has ruined my last ij180 print.

I know you did! :notworthy: I am just trying to save a buck I guess. The 54EL doesn't have a take up roll, which I think I might like to have. Space around here is at a premium. I guess I need to decide what is more important to me, peace of mind, or saving $$... I have looked at a royal...
  11. My Daige has ruined my last ij180 print.

I can't stand watching my profits go into the trash any longer... The daige has worked fine for the past few weeks on calendared stuff, but today I went to do some vehicle work and of course, it decides to go from from silvering to outright bubbles. I figure I have a few options... and I...
  12. Rick

I usually do backlit signs with rapidtac. Just center hinge and work it down.
  13. First Post

Hmm, does look like a zombie flick logo... I can see the hand coming out of the ground now...
  14. brushed metal look for wrap

Did you laminate it? *looks great by the way!
  15. brushed metal look for wrap

I don't see how you could print on it. I have a sample of it here, and it has so much texture, laminating would be a nightmare and never work. Never tried it, but wonder if you could put it on top of other vinyl or put it down first in the areas you want that look, and seam IJ180 over it...
  16. 100% Apple Computer based sign shop, Anything i need to know?

^^^ I have something nearly identical. I run a KVM switch on my desk, and leave that computer on all the time. (i dont think it has been rebooted in 6 months. It does NOTHING but rip, print and cut; and store files. I have it on a gigabit router connected to my design station, so it isn't on...
  17. 100% Apple Computer based sign shop, Anything i need to know?

^^^^ The IT profession has an acronym for that, PICNIC Problem In Chair Not In Computer.
  18. Question about reducing waste when using the take-up system

Colorado, I used to have that exact problem. There are a lot of dryer options out there, but we made our own using case fans and a powersupply from a dead pc. Total cost was about 40 bucks. I can print at 6 passes bi directional without prints sticking together anymore. Made a HUGE...
  19. Question about reducing waste when using the take-up system

50 is warm, I set mine to 42 pre heat, 40 at the head, and 45 post print. I have a mimaki, so that's a little different I guess... still think 50 is pretty hot.
  20. 55" Laminators

I am still using my Daige, after almost two years. It still gives me fits sometimes. Last week I ruined about 16 liner feet of IJ180cv3 and cast laminate, which was not a good way to start the day.. I am looking for something else, and the USTech that was listed there has got my attention...
