  4. Rookie signmaker, or customer directed?

We would sketch it as the client specs and a sketch of a professional design. Try to educate them and let them pick. Do the job and cash the check. If it is a poor choice we just happen to not mark the job. As much as we enjoy the craft it is still about the cash. :beer

We very rarely use any type of application fluid. All dry installations. In the rare occasion we need a wet application, we use a commercially mixed fluid like Rapid-Tac. Try to get away from mixing soap and water. A little too much soap and you ruin your vinyl. I believe the old wisdom was...

  17. Homemade Coro One Color Screen Press

Set up looks fine. Make sure your squeegee blade is sharp. Don't let the image get too close to your frame. 4'' min. between the image and the screen 6'' is better. As the squeegee moves across, the fabric moves slightly. As you get close to the frame the fabric moves at a different rates and...

Actually quite busy. Work force has shrunk from 4 full time and a part time to 3 full time. That is most of it. Still very surprised as construction is dead, dead, dead. Grateful for the slice of pie we have.
