I love my VJ 1604. You should pick up a few of them. Then pick up some cases of beer to send to the people who told you to go Mutoh.

+1 tight vnc. I also set it up at the work place for me to be able to access each computer on the network "virtually", so that when I logged in from home I was able to use each individual computer on the network. Get some hot folders going you'll never go to work again.

I used to have that set up. I logged in through a secure connection via router, and used a free VNC software to handle it. It really isn't that hard once you're using the right stuff.

I opened it up to look for loose connections, something that looks fried, etc... I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. Now it seems to not turn on at all. I would think it wouldn't even print until it got to temperature, so something in there isn't telling the heater to turn on, and...

Thanks for the reply! I just restarted it. After looking closer, it seems that the heater works, but is turning off once it starts printing. I checked all the settings at the printer and the media profile in the rip. I'm lost, and falling behind. Ugh.

The platen heater isn't working, and my prints look like crap! Anyone know what to do? THANK YOU!!!

What makes it the wrong ip address? Can't you change the ip configuration at the rip?

Everything is fine now - THANKS!! I ran directly from the pc with no problems, so I knew it was somehow a network issue. Since I can't run through my desktop switch (too slow) I figured it had something to do with the main server. Basically it was choking and bogging things down. Added drive...
