  1. I need to pick one! Please help!

Get a Mimaki. But buy the plotter as a separate unit... Trust me, you will regret it if you don't. Mimaki makes a nice budget plotter, the CG130-SRII that cuts anything you need it to It detects register marks, etc.. and you aren't stopping your printer every time you need to cut.

  6. Artist Needed for Logo

I would say my passion for my work is much greater than the artwork I am capable of producing. When I go out , I am always looking at the signs - how they are made, printed, the design, just everything. I never miss an opportunity to learn and improve my skill set or knowledge. Drives my wife...

  9. Swimming Pool rules and regs signs

Well, after being transferred from one desk to the other 10 times - our local county actually does have rules about what has to be on their sign. You can contact your local county department of health and get them. I have to have No Diving at least 4.5" high, and No Lifeguard on Duty a minimum...
  10. Swimming Pool rules and regs signs

  16. Dithering problem

Sometimes I have an issue with drop shadows in illustrator not being as clean as ones in photoshop. Bring in each element to photoshop, rasterize the layer at the final size, and then do a layer style drop shadow from there. Flatten the image and save it as a .tiff and see what happens.
  17. buying artwork

LOL! If they were smart, they could just order a bunch of small signs from you and make a tidy profit over the year :D
  18. Need some help with this

I hate that tables are obsolete, I learned to write websites in tables, and never fully grasped .css I don't see why you would want an email every time someone landed on your site either. Other than being basically a hidden web page counter with an alarm bell that rings, what purpose would...

Marlene, by paying that licensing fee, does that mean you can use their logo on anything you sell.. or are you limited to that category?

Big thanks to GG and iSign. GG, I like how you invoice that artwork and explain that to your clients. I will be doing that from now on as well... talk about preventing a huge headache later! This is a good thread.
