  3. Black in Photoshop not so much in Flexi??

I use Flexi's RIP, also. I prefer to work in the Adobe RGB color space in Photoshop and export as a tiff with the ICC profile imbedded.
  4. vinyl vs printed banner

I agree with bob. We print virtually all of our banners. We charge the same for a one-color digital banner as we would for a one-color cut vinyl banner. We print it because it is much more convenient and cost effective for us. The ink cost is cheaper than vinyl. Plus, there is no cutting...
  5. Something I didn't know Flexi could do

You can also copy and paste into Flexi.
  6. Since You guys were so Good with The Black

We print a fantastic bright red with 0/100/100/0. If this is too orange, try adding 1-5% Cyan. Keep in mind that your output relies on printer, inks, rip, media, profiles, etc.!
  7. How to crop letters out of a picture? so to speak...

Looks like "bringthanoize" (except for the "i") with the kerning adjusted.
  14. Corel Affect

No, deanalois. It is a cool effect. The more I hear about x3, the better it sounds.
  15. Flexi Color Palette

We also have a custom pallete that gets added to, subtracted from, and tweaked constantly.
  16. Image size in Photoshop

For a car, 72 ppi should be sufficient.
  17. Importing a Photoshop file into Flexi 7.6

I agree with alot of the suggestions here. I'm also using Flexi to rip. When I want to print a psd, I size it to 72 ppi (for banners and such) or 150 ppi (for close-up viewing) at full size. I flatten the image and save it as a tif, embedding the Adobe RGB profile. I use no compression...
  18. Help with an ugly gradiant in a print

I'm also using Flexi and printing on a Mimaki JV3. An easy work-around would be to size the image to full-size in Flexi and re-create the gradient.
  19. Looking for a Reflective to print on.

I have printed on a couple of "non-solvent" reflective vinyls with good results. I find it helpful to crank the heat up to 60C.
