Interesting thought Malkin. I wouldn't have thought static because on vinyl I can see the roller marks slightly imprinted so I know that there is a lot of pressure from the rollers. I assumed that the material was compressed and therefore wouldn't accept ink as readily. just next to the...
I was a printer for years. The equipment that you need to do this job properly is very expensive. A good cutter alone is thousands. Not only that but the printing of these cards is a trade in itself that can take years to do well (depending on what you are trying to produce). My advice is to...
I am also using a generic banner profile as i have not found one for jetflex. I have printed red solids, yellow solids... and the tracking is hardly noticeable but with black it is a nightmare.
I tried using only the outside 2 rollers but it wants to buckle just a little near the outside roller. The banding is quite pronounced. Is there a tension adjustment for the roller pressure?
They are clean, I think that because the banner material is getting squished it is then less receptive to the ink than the other areas and it flashes. The rollers are not marking the media just changing the way the ink looks once it is applied to these areas.
I am printing a 4'4" x 10' Black solid on jet flex banner material. I am using all of my grip rollers on a xc-540. The track lines from where the rollers have been are very obvious on the finished print. The ink seems to be accepted differently in those areas. How do you guys deal with this...
Hey Old Paint, I was really happy that Chatterbox was even willing to come back on here and try to answer the valid question that I was asking. If my proof template looked more like his I think that my salesman would have a much more professional presentation to our clients. Let's not run him...
SJM there is no reason to outsource locally. You don't have the equipment to do the job properly or enough demand to justify larger equipment purchase. Many wholesalers are lightning fast and UPS doesn't sit on their thumbs either. I am in TX and I order from each coast.
Forget the sign, I really like the way your layout on your proof sheet looks. How exactly are you doing all of that? Is it as much work as it looks like? How is this process automated if at all? i.e. showing the boundaries of different elements of the sign etc... I do color proofs of my a.i...
Hey Scar, I use a big squeegee for jobs this size with great easy results. I have however had to go with a different method than most. The backing on 210 is not the standard thickness so I have one person just stand at the starting end and hold the liner that is being released. The liner has...
Nominated. Post if you find a place to watch the whole film. The clip was a little sad wasn't it. I need to start focusing my clients on less invasive signage.
House, meaning if you want to take a 100' roll off of your printers take up roller, place it on the laminator start laminating continuously and have it roll itself back up automatically on the back side of the laminator.
I think that this is the least expensive unit that they sell in this size. Won't do roll to roll type of operations. People will talk a lot of smack on them but I have heard some good things from people that own them. I am considering their unit that looks like the seal. Quick clamps...
