It has four. One of the things i looked for was the option to go up to 32 gb. I have 16 gb on my amd phenom 2. And i thought it was fast till i hooked up the i7 with 8 gb. I wonder how much 32gb of ram would do

Ok so how do i find out what my i7 takes? It came with 8 gbs. So I'm looking to expand to 16 or 32gb.

Ahh intersting... i was saving up for a cheap nas. could i add a bunch of hdd's and raid them? And have sosome ssd's for the rest(system,rip,etc.)

Whats the difference with ecc and non ecc ram?

I use a 30in graphtec. Its susuper fast. But it cuts out stuff here and there, front to back, all over. How do i get it to go in order?

Ughhh. That's nice to know. Lol the amd i was looking at was from best buy. The new pavilion with beats or whatever. 6cores. 2tb 10gb ram. But i went with the i7 just because i was thinking, for ripping i would need better processing speeds and ram capacity. I can go to 32 gb of ram on the i7...

Happy fourth to all.... i bought a gold plated 12 foot usb cable from bestbuy..for a mimaki. Do i plug it in the computers usb port in the back? Or the gigabit switch? I'm thinking directly to the pc...also does it work with 2.0 ports? 3.0? I have both.thanks

Oh and i got a ips lg monitor from bestbuy at 200. Its not the best ips but better then the monitors i have currently.

I'm glad i was some help to someone. I'm still new here. And to this industry. My moms been doing it over 20 years. I been doing this full-time for over a year now. Was doing the chef thing before. So yea i only installed the art path and the main program. I'm going to do it all over again soon...
