This may sound strange, but did the oil based paint negatively affect the MDO i.e. image degradation? I am not sure the local sign supplier will have oil based clear coat. You can check out CLEARSTAR and VALSPAR

jfiscus, they may be an assumption on my part, but you must make sure the CLEAR VINYL has an OPTICALLY CLEAR, REMOVABLE adhesive. Otherwise the image will be distorted and the removal (at the end of the promotion) will be a nightmare

I strongly encourage the MATTE lam. The wall is much more visible in the glare of the light with the MATTE.
