Make them buy it from you, name the highest price you can think of. This one is pretty simple. IP rights are probably the #1 topic on these forums lately (as it should be) but this particular scenario seems straight forward. They need to pay you for it, and you should not so gently remind them...
My stream is already really noisy but I follow a lot of online personalities. If you want more content, put your own stuff out there as a magnet to get interaction going. I also made some posts on my FB about how I don't use it much and you can find me on Google+, etc.
The thing that should win...
Hit Record, Hit Shift+o, select Fit to Art, Okay, stop recording? Just a guess, I don't use that function much.
What's the point of the offset and unite selection actions, those are already built in buttons/options...?
Since I think day 2 of the service. Liking it a lot. Still growing usage with my friends but it's a great extended-form conversation tool. I think people who are comfortable with Twitter are adapting to Google+ more quickly than Facebook users, the Circle metaphor for layers of public/private...
Any pictures of your shop space? Sounds interesting. The more pictures the better, we've been through a few shop expansion plans and are still working it out.
If the customer signed off on the proof many shops would at best split the reprint cost (to cover time & materials).
That's the entire point of a sign off.
That's where I'm a bit of an edge case as I cross pretty much the entire spectrum of design. Print in all forms, web, motion, 3D, backend developer & prepress/production. CS3 I skipped as CS2->3 wasn't a big deal for anyone but 3->4 and 4->5 were both HUGE upgrades, as were ->CS1 and CS1->CS2...
Productivity is the key reason to stay near the edge for me. Time is the most valuable asset, anything which reduces task time is a win and most software upgrades have some task time reducers (I can't imagine still being on CS3...).
Well worth it and that's not all that much money. Software is a cost of doing business, you should budget ~$5k a year or so for software upgrades/new software purchases.
You could do it. You'll need one other person to do the "tip over" stage (not the four HP calls for*). It's like a dozen screws and you're done.
*This is not actual advice, if you break your ass I am not responsible. Always follow instructions.
If AT&T merges with T-Mobile it will be the only GSM carrier in the US. That's a relatively clear cut reason to disallow the merger for anti-trust purposes. CDMA has more competition.
You have the right to use it in promotional work for yourself, aka in a portfolio (designers resume) unless you are restricted from such in a signed contract. The company likely owns the copyright but you likely have the right to display the work as work samples and skill proof. Employers cannot...
Yep she's lying, no refund without getting the cards back. If they're good enough to keep they're good enough to pay for. This should be a hard line rule in all print shops no matter the type of shop.
Not all, just the major OEMs. The specialty outfits like Mutoh, Mimaki, Roland are all super pissed off at HP and Canon for bringing their desktop "razerblades not razers" strategy to the sign industry market. They can't compete with that as they make their money on building very good machines...
A lot of hate for partnerships in here but every major successful business has been built up from a partnership. They're like marriages in that you have to be really careful about who you decide to partner with, a one person businesses usually plateau long before a good partnership ever will...
