  3. help with logo

Don't "copy" anything....But a good exercise would be to take a good look at Rick's designs. Then without looking at them again, try your best to reproduce some of them from the inspiration of seeing them, with your own skills and tools to the best of your ability.

  13. envision cutting strip

In addition to a worn strip, it also sounds like you may have your knife blade sticking out too far. It shouldn't be able to reach far enough to cut any deeper than the thickness of the vinyl.
  14. How long have you been in the Sign Business?

Started part time in 1998 while working in the Auto Body industry. Quit the day job in 2001 to do this full time.
  15. Wrap Certification

To the local customers, it means more to have a guarantee of the work to hold up than any certification would. National or big corporate clients would also expect a guarantee but I think the certification would help a whole bunch when trying to land the new account for sure.
  16. Will the real DeSoto please stand up.....

Yes, That's very interesting, indeed. As Gino said, He had two? 3M certified installers who were crap and another non-certified guy who is great. No? Obviously, being able to market your shop as having certified installers with a warranty on the installation is a big plus. BUT...does the...
  17. Content aware photo stretching

Looks like it's well worth it for the web design program alone. And I can see lots of time where that stretch feature would come in quite handy. Thanks! Think I'll be picking up a copy of that soon.
  18. Ok.. now THIS is cool...

It's impressive but I have a hard time seeing a practical use for it really. I mean, if you intend to use it to create images for commercial use, then I would think there are all sorts of ethical questions that come up. I'm guessing it would really be hit or miss, mostly miss in using photos...
  19. Will the real DeSoto please stand up.....

    I don't think it's the real Sergio...I think it's Cappy. :ROFLMAO:
