look for someone dumping an enduralam... i've seen people get frustrated with them and sell em for a song. ours works perfectly, it just takes a bit of finesse to load 54" laminate.

Not necessarily, but you have a business to run. Their problems shouldn't be yours. Give them a chance, tell them your side of what's going on. If they don't step it up, use it as a cautionary tale for your next supplier.

This. Talk to Fellers about your area rep... ours takes great care of us and we haven't had a problem. Priceshopping for them to match is a bit of a pain, but generally our rep does better than anyone else if we just ask 'what can you do for us on this product?' I've used a few other...

we use EV Print from JSI Sign: http://jsisign.com/products/HT_printable.html#evprint I'm sure there are a bunch of cheaper solutions out there, but JSI's customer service has been great, ever since our first pre-sales call... We'll be sticking with them.

From my experience, primarily CPU. When I'm RIP-ing in Flexi 10, my CPU is pegged at 100%. It uses very little memory, but takes every bit of CPU I can throw at it... Just upgraded to a 3.1 Tri-core with 12GB RAM from a 2.2 dual with 4GB RAM... can post results if anyone's interested.

same... makes for a great finished product. protip- ask the customer what they'd prefer and be up front with them about the options.

same here- it's one of the easiest ways my shop can stay synched, especially with people out of the office.

no problems. if it's a mac, post bulid info for suggestions on a rootkit search. if windows, www.vipreantivirus.com - free (full-featured) trial, and worth every penny afterwards (uses less resources than any other AV, vx checks individual files in a bottle, great defs, etc)

For corel draw only, i've used photo-trace, moved it to draw and imposed the image on top of the created vector- removing the inside data and print-cut from this graphic.
