In attempt to answer your question, $1300 to $1750 may be within reason as a package
I too agree that holding onto this might help you later but if you need the money, you might be able to split it up and sell the cutter for $1000-$1250 and the software for $300-$500.
Bottom line is most...
Just curious, what cutter manufacturer is offering a 64 bit driver? Can not locate for Roland, Ioline, APD, Graphtec and best I can tell, no mention of 64 bit for Gerber either.
Dont use 64 bit here so really dont have the experience and joy.
You must have the Softkey... Contact Beacon and request USB Key to replace the Softkey. Or contact SAi.
Not the first I have heard of this issue today.
Slobberjaw,
Be sure to get the USB dongle and updated installation DVD for 8.6sp1. The combination of these two should help stabilize the program even more. Not saying anything is wrong with it so no one hit me over the head.
I would recommend inserting cleaning cart and letting it go.
Once you get back, replace the cleaning cart with new ink cart and run a few cleans to pull the cleaning fluid out.
Will waste a bit of ink but may be the safer approach
If all nozzles fire correctly with test print, I would agree with MichaelAlmand. High head height.
Another thing or two to check: bi-directional settings, replace wipers, consider the age of the cyan printhead.
Based on other brand experiences, I would recommend inserting the Cleaning cart so the line has no air in it to possibly dry up at all.
Cleaning fluid will not damage anything.
Just a suggestion.
Try cutting to the CX through VersaWorks using the GX-24 driver. Maybe, just maybe it will work.
Here is a link to Roland's support doc on how to setup Corel with the Windows print driver for the CX-24.

The APD cutters are very solid. Communication can be a bit of a pain but once done a few time, pretty straight forward.
Relatively easy to repair as well if ever needed.
If you ever owned an ANA Express, you will love the APD. Other than lifting it :)
Cuthead separated from print carriage. Turn off main power, remove jam and power back on. Hopefully the cuthead did not slip loose on the carriage wire.
FYI, CiberSupply.com is the national reseller of the CiberCat products, including CiberCut and CiberPrint. Forum to be made live soon for additional support option.
