  1. Greetings Y'all

    Welcome! Ugly signs humor me
  2. Rounding corners

The quirk with Corel Draw is that if you transform the rectangle (stretch it afterit's in position) the corners won't round proportionately. To fix this problem: 1. Draw a rectangle and stretch it into the position and size you want. 2. Turn on "snap to objects" (ctrl+J, workplace, snap to...

Sweet work Stevo! I'm sure I'm not alone when I say "We'd love to see more of your stuff!" For those that don't know, Stevo is a member of another popular sign forum (I'm just a lurker there) where he has posted a nice a step-by-step on adding dimension to otherwise flat graphics. His...

There is SOOOOOO much to read here. I stay on top of the vinyl stuff quite a bit but I still have a lot to read myself and I've been around a while , , , take your time, settle in.

  12. Kinda like Brush Script

I should have waited to open this one . . . I knew it, I knew it, I knew it . . . . now there's milk all over the keyboard and up my nose. Golly geee, thanks Fred.
  13. Kinda like Brush Script

I'll remember that for future designs, I always wondered if they would compliment each other.
  14. Kinda like Brush Script

Again Fred, YOU DA MAN! I've searched for a while for this one and knew you would have the answer, I just hate asking before doing a little research on my own. Many thanks!
  15. Kinda like Brush Script

:design: Not my design (if you can call it that)! I've drawn a blank on this one but I beleive it's a Gerber supplied font because of where the customer had the work done previously. The closest I can come up with is Brush Script but the brush terminations are rounded where the terminations in...
  16. where can i download fonts from?

Good point! Although I completely agree with Fred and feel that for the most part the free fonts are a complete waste of time, there are a select few that do get some use around my little shop on a regular basis. The thing to remember is that a good portion of these "free" fonts are actually...

  18. Another Newbie.....

Welcome, I think we'll all be ears when you have something to say about airbrushing!
  19. Why should I upgrade?

I have Corel Draw 8, 10 & 11 but stick with CD10 with SP1 & 2 . . . rock solid. CD 11 shuts down in the middle of just about anything you try to do . . . sloppy, unstable program with no improvement over 10. Not to mention that 11 adds a gazillion nodes when you convert outlines or contours...
  20. NEWBIE... just bought Corel Draw 12

CoCut is a decent plug-in if you can't figure out how to cut from corel but it wasn't for me. CoCut did nothing that I couldn't already do on my own except that it may have saved a little time. The time it saved was negligable for me so I chose not to use it any longer. Set your plotter as...
