  1. Door Numbered Signs, looking for supplier

Exact recreation? PM me, I'll put you in touch with a sales person or project manager here than can help you.
  2. End of Daylight Savings Time screws up websites

This is why we need to go to a 24 hour international clock. Time zones are stupid. If everybody is on the same clock, it doesn't matter if it's dawn at 2am or 8am. Somebody (i.e., a major international player) needs to just take the reins and say, "We're moving to a 24 hour clock, everybody...
  3. Question Best flatbed for printing corrugated plastic

Everything I've seen from Agfa looks GREAT on top of that.
  4. Question Best flatbed for printing corrugated plastic

You don't want a flatbed. Go for a hybrid. The wider you go, the more sheets per hour you can print. I know you don't want to spend $200k, but if you're looking to do more than 10 sheets an hour, you're going to have to. For $250-300k you can get a nice printer that'll do around 20 sheets an...
  5. What am I?

I know this is supposed to be in the humor section, but why are we punching down? Shameful. Also, they're too skinny and blonde.
  6. Need Help substrate material question

It's PVC with brushed aluminum Rowmark (or equivalent), black raised Rowmark room numbers, and braille. It also doesn't appear to be ADA compliant, as braille is required to go BELOW pictograms and text. PM if you're interested in ADA signage and I'll put you in touch with someone here who can...
  7. first post ever

Ah. Well, scrap that fiber laser idea then. Have y'all looked into plasma cutters at all? I know next to nothing about them, just floating the idea.
  8. first post ever

I know BOSS and Epilog makes fiber lasers. Gravotech, Trotec, and Universal all makes CO2 lasers, possibly fiber lasers. They're fairly affordable nowadays, depending on what size you need. You'll need a fiber, CO2 won't cut metals.
  9. first post ever

    Fiber laser?
  10. Moldy vinyl?

No, we've always outgassed and continue to outgas. Very, very rarely do we skip outgassing. It's been cropping up a lot more frequently, which I suspect might have something to do with the composition of the materials more than anything else. I'm not sure what goes on in other shops, but I know...
  11. Stud-mount lettering on Exterior Wall Tile

Absolutely 100% diamond bit. It's way easier if you have someone with you to keep your bit cool by spraying a stream of water on it. Definitely switch to another (appropriate) bit once you're through if you can. I would also recommend practicing a couple times on some tile so you can get the...
  12. Moldy vinyl?

I think that's a big part of it. There are a lot of people on the forums who are "outgassing-deniers" and it's a big conspiracy for some reason. I have no earthly idea what that reason might be, there doesn't really seem to be any gain for 3M or Avery (or whoever) to ask you to wait for...
  13. Moldy vinyl?

That looks like UV damage, probably not mold. Check out this picture and see the similarities. Had this same issue come a couple years ago (had never seen it before). You can see the screw hole covers, which were just laminated white vinyl, are undamaged, where as the printed and laminated...
  14. Where's Gino & Johnny Best been??

Gino, you're the only one proving your point, champ. ;) Good to see you back with Nerf guns blazing.
  15. Discussion Losing Weight.

Nobody wants to hear this, but this is the gospel. You can lose weight on a diet, but you'll never keep weight off on a diet. You'll likely get fatter than when you started. The best way to lose body fat is to add muscle mass. HIIT works. Add muscle mass, get cardio at the same time.
  16. Need Help What to use for stained glass look

We've printed on frosted and it looks pretty good. We've also done varying degrees of white (10%, 25%) behind color on clear vinyl (doesn't look as good). Frosted generally looks best, IMO. There's a company called SOLYX (maybe others) that makes stained glass vinyl.
