Seriously, I don't know if they want that to be public knowledge so please nobody go calling "them" up saying "Insignia's getting this price"... Not sure if they'd appreciate that or not. But it's a volume price, partly because we bought a lot of 180C from them the last few years and they're...
It's not an Oracal profile but try Avery's profile for their MPI 2900 gloss, it's a 540x1080 6-pass profile. We end up using it on most calendered vinyls, we've yet to be able to write a better one. I've not tried it on the 3551 but it's worth a shot, it's given us great results.
Good idea, I agree with Artbot though, there's no real attention-grabbing call to action on it, it's just more directional. Next one you do, give the design a bit more punch. I hate tacky bright flashy "SALE" signs, but they do get your attention and that's the point of a sign like that...
Over here it's a fairly competitive market and there have been more than a few cases where getting a sign out in a day or two (or a shorter timeframe than waiting for paint to dry in the shop) made our customer and us smell like roses. It's not every sign or the majority of them, but they do pop...
Gino, regardless of what this product is marketed for, I think it's real benefit is in being able to have a "quick and dirty" post ready to install in minutes. I'll keep using the example of realtors. I'm all for giving people quality, it's what we do, but realtors don't care if their white post...
Bumping this to the top...
Ordered a roll of the PostCoats, came in a few days later, we just haven't had an opportunity to test it until now.
Works more or less as advertised. If you're looking to make a high-end "nice" post for a high-dollar sign, this is not the solution. But if you need to...
Ha! Just started watching it this morning, only through 3 episodes but so far I think it'll be a suitable replacement for my beloved 24, may it rest in peace.
We stopped using the 3850 because of this, it's got an awful muddy yellow tint when lighted. We switched to Avery's translucent white (can't remember the number off the top of my head) and the results are much better.
I've never understood it either. I get it's purpose (woman-owned and/or minority owned) but I disagree with blatantly awarding someone a contract on that basis alone. Seems like a massive abuse of public money to me. If the WOB/MOB is qualified for it and they won the bid fair and square that's...
PM me for a fun little story about your friends in Indy...
We've been using Orbus for our dye sub work lately, they're expensive too but the quality is good.
