  1. customer complaining about stencils he asked me to make

Maybe I'm having a bad day, but I'd tell him to eat a d!ck. I'd consider not getting paid by him the cost of getting rid of a nuisance customer and cut him loose.
  2. Addy's ladder

    oh dear. Pro, nice avatar!
  3. Addy's ladder

    wtf did I miss now???
  4. JV33 Ink Coverage

This is the best way to get better prints with less ink usage. You're going to be hard pressed to find a good array of good profiles for Rasterlink, it's not a widely supported RIP. Switch to Onyx and you'd find bazillions of canned profiles ready to go, but you'll still not totally solve the...
  5. removal of hood vinyl cracked and oxidized need ideas

I know you said you don't want to use a wheel but the Vinyl Zapper would knock that out quickly without damaging the paint. That's what I'd do anyway. Chemicals make me too nervous.
  6. How do your customers spell "coroplast"?

haha, no those people work for me, the hamster people are way weirder.
  7. How do your customers spell "coroplast"?

god, I don't know where that started but we get those calls all the time. We have a bin of scraps that we just give these hamster freaks, that's our way of recycling. I want to charge them but they're all so freaking weird I don't want them hanging around my shop any longer than necessary...
  8. file not embeded in illy - what to do?

place the .pdf in a new document, then go to (I think, I'm not at a design computer) the object menu > flatten transparency, then hit control-7 a couple times to release any clipping masks, that should allow you to break apart the file and edit it like normal.
  9. Convex Vinyl

We cut Convex all the time, cuts just like any other vinyl, it's on the thick side so adjust your pressure accordingly, but it cuts and weeds great.
  10. Request for quote

Steve, I did reply to your email, but I just PMd you too in case you didn't get it.
  11. Avery ez rs

Just wrapped a Sprinter with a different roll of the LTR stuff with no issues at all, so there must have been a rough batch out there...
  12. Avery ez rs

    hahahaha BBQ?!? lmao!
  13. Computer power nd GS6000

And you're sure you don't have any sort of pas delay turned on in the RIP? If not, then you don't need a new computer, that's a connection issue. Follow Case's advice first to make sure you're firmware and drivers are all up to date. If all else fails try swapping to a new cable, although I...
  14. Interior wall mural - what media?

    Awesome!
  15. Computer power nd GS6000

The computer doesn't "power" the printer. Can you describe in a little more detail exactly what the problem is? I still can't tell if you're saying the RIP times are slow or the printer is actually pausing and "hiccuping" while it's printing. In theory a newer Win7-64 bit computer with 2gb...
  16. Interior wall mural - what media?

Post pictures when it's done Dan, that'll look great I'm sure. I love murals done in real wallpaper material, they look so much better and more professional than paneled vinyl with overlapping seams.
  17. Avery ez rs

I've had several rolls of 3M cast lam with splices in the past. None in the last 2 years or so so they seemed to have fixed that issue, but it was freaking annoying. At least with Avery they put little tabs in it that stick out of the roll so you know where they are, the splices we were having...
  18. Interior wall mural - what media?

I'd go with a digital wallcoverming like Korographics or Wallscapes over anything self adhesive, personally, at least if this is considered a permanent installation. I haven't found a single self-adhesive vinyl that really stays stuck long term to painted drywall, and we've tried damn near...
  19. Computer power nd GS6000

ethernet... through your network or straight to the laptop? How old is the laptop? What are it's specs? I'm curious because if the printer is pausing and bogging down while it's printing it's not necessarily a computer problem but a connectivity problem. If you're problem is just slow RIP...
