  1. Feather banner supplier

We've had a lot of problems with Creative Banner's quality, we shy away from them as much as possible now. My vote is for Orbus as well, although I will say we had an order for 13 of their feather banners come in this week and every one of them was sewn wrong. But Orbus bent over backwards...
  2. using comply with small cut out letters

We do it the same way, print/cut small letters on air-egress vinyl is impossibly hard, so cut it, weed the big stuff, mask it and weed the small stuff off the substrate. Much easier.

  6. New tunes from Nickelback

It's not about hating on them because they got "big". Props to them for making millions, they get the business end of it and they're capitalizing on it. From a pure music standpoint, lost of bands like this hit it big and then never grow or expand as musicians because they're afraid of losing...
  7. Gotta love customers...

HOLY. BALLS. That right there takes the cake.
  8. Printing 7.5M books a week and can't make it

    hahaha nice avatar!!! LMFAO!
  9. Film for Wall Wrap

So you're wrapping over existing wallpaper? Eeeeesh. I'd try painting the wall(paper) with gloss white paint and then applying Phototex over that. For anyone who's interested, we just removed a graphic from one of our walls that was on Avery 2611, was up for 6 months, and literally, I kid you...
  10. Printing 7.5M books a week and can't make it

hahaha, from Urban Dictionary, definition #3: "3. Someone that farts in the bathtub and then plays with the bubbles and sniffs the farts."
  11. Printing 7.5M books a week and can't make it

There you go. They're averaging $30/hr for minimum wage or just above minimum wage work. If they run 2 shifts, which is probably conservative, their payroll is fifty thou a day. That doesn't count benefits or retired folks or pensions or any other union perks. I'm not surprised, if anything I'm...
  12. Outstanding! Joe Diaz wins Grand Prize

Congrats Joe! Post up some close-ups of that, I saw them over on Letterville and the amount of detail you put into this is staggering to say the least. Well deserved!
  13. grimco's max metal

I wouldn't use 3mm between two posts, 6mm would be fine, or Alumacorr, but not an ACM material like MaxMetal. Also, I'm pretty sure Grimco's U brackets are for 1/4" material, not 1/8", so you may have to bend them slightly to get them to fit.
  14. Well it seems like he DONT want to PAY!

    Are you a merchant member?
  15. Mayweather/Ortiz ...an expensive cheap shot

Fortunately my common sense get the better of me and I didn't buy it on HBO. Ortiz isn't that good and shouldn't have let his guard down against someone like Pretty Boy. Mayweather is a punk but he knows what he can get away with and technically that sucker punch was legal. Low-class but legal...
  16. 24 ft by 5 ft

Ooh, I missed that this is going over the street. Yeah, you need to do this right: heavy 18oz material, webbing sewn in the hems, etc.. You'll need to tell your customer this is a safety hazard and they need to wait so it can be done correctly.
  17. 24 ft by 5 ft

+1 for HH66, it makes a very strong bond and you can do it yourself. No to banner tape. If you were closer to us I'd say send it my way, we could get that shipped out by EOD today no problem.

  19. Need advice on 40' sign

I wouldn't try to do that as 1 piece flat, that would be a bear and a half to install to say the least. I'd go pan, and do either 2 or 3 pieces, make the seams fall between words and it won't look terrible. It's been a while since I did a multi-piece pan face, but Hendrick's Vacuum Forming has...
