Actually no. I've been shut out of Gmail and GDocs at least twice since they started. And it isn't necessarily Google that could be the problem. It could be anything from ISP problems to some jerk driving into a cable/phone junction box.

Mail should be always kept locally. I agree with the poster who said the problem with the OP's missing mail is far more likely due to disk error or OS error than it is with Thunderbird.
My mail (Thunderbird) is automatically backed up twice...
Although I really like Gmail and have two personal accounts, there is NO WAY I would ever use it for business, constantly running the risk of being denied access (for whatever reason).
I also think it is unprofessional-looking having a gmail/yahoo/hotmail account for a business.
So, if I were to let my two-year-old laptop running Win7-64 HomePremium update itself to current, I could have XP-mode working? Or was XP-mode only available with Win7 Pro?
Please take note (I've been told) that XP mode may require certain hardware to run (processor, chipset, bios, etc... ). XP mode will not run on just any machine.
