Lol ... Don't mind OP he's just a cranky old sign guy ;) Ha ha ha.. He did the same to me a few years back when I was just starting out. Tough to get someones personality when you have to read it rather than witness expressions :) He's helped me out of a few binds!
I didn't know that you...
Same thing happened to me last week. I found one for the same price... Definitely helps to shop around! Google part number searches are a godsend! Lol!
Recently picked one of these up. I was able to get it up and running through parallel connection on my desktop and it worked perfectly but I couldn't get it to run through usb on my laptop. Plus I don't think Roland is my cup of tea. (I'll stick with summa) Question is .. what is this thing...
I believe the glass i bought is tempered. I did have one blow up on me a few years back, as I was leaning on one of the 2x4's that make the frame it snapped. The mess was terrible but the glass was not sharp. The other option would be to use poly sheeting in 1/2" I ordered mine from mcmaster...
I built a 4x8 glass table that i just hang 6' fluorescent ballasts under to light. Works great.
The other 4x8 side I used translucent polypropylene on for my taping / cutting.
Pens fan here ... I've seen worse .. I agree that they should have stuck with the old logo either that or taken note on the windsor spitfires logo.. I love that logo. Would have been nice to see something similar. http://www.sportslogos.net/images/logos/3/381/full/sessdpsltfjed4epunnx9ueg1.gif
Graphics were created in Signlab 9.0 wraps outputted to my summa DC4.
I added a little more to the white one to keep it from looking so plain. Black is definitely my favorite color to work on!
I have a chance to pick one of these up and was wondering if i could get some thoughts of this machine. It is in working order. The guy said he just recently quit using it because he had to upgrade to a bigger model. Anyone printing on this machine from Signlab? Also what price range should this...
Hey everyone. I'm looking to have this sign produced from my design. I don't get into doing dimensional work here at my shop so I'm looking to sub this out. The sign needs to be 2 sided at a size of 45" x 69.5." I don't know if it would be best sandblasted or routed so I am open to suggestions...
I recently picked up a roland pnc 950 for a backup cutter. Picked up a usb to parallel cable to run it from my laptop (which has no serial ports) The drivers for the cable installed fine, but I cant get the cutter to receive from signlab 9.
