After many hours of tedious work and patience I finally got it to work. Turned out the heads were plugged. Never again will it sit idle for any length of time. Thanks for the help guys.

Ken, Yes, the new pump does make a lot of clicking noise. As for the firmware upgrade, I'm not sure if the roland rep did that or not. I'm beginning to think that the heads are plugged, if that is even possible, and if so, a simple way to clean them out. I've watched the capping station move up...

I see a buble or 2 in the cyan line but all others seem to be ok, unless there are bubbles on down the tubes farther. Did the guy from ordway elaborate on what he did to fix the problem?

Seeing if anyone else has ever had this issue, this is the first for me. Roland sp-300 has been sitting idel for about a week, just cutting, no printing. I went to print today and nothing, wont bring the ink from the cartridges, which are full. did several light and 1 heavy duty cleaning, still...

Had the same identical issue with my sp300 a few months back. Ended up being the head. Replaced and has been working perfectly ever since. No more fuzzy and eratic black text or lines.

I hear where you guys are coming from. I mis-read the email they sent as they wanted the font in pic #3, which is basically a graphic pic pasted on the boat, duplicated, but could also be the works of another shop, I don't know In any event I'll contact the person and see if they can supply...

Well Ken, I just tried a file sent from Corel X3 to Colorip and I get the same results. There is about a 1/16" white margin along the right side and bottom side of the graphic. Must be some setting in colorip I don't have quite set up right. Mike

That's what my next plan was Ken, send the file from something else like Corel or Illustrator and see what happens. Mike

So what you are saying Chopper, this is not a normal procedure (adjusting the cut line). Flexi is the only program I've ever used with the sp-300 so am not aware if other pgms. have the same issue. Mike

It just seems odd that with these hi tech machines and the accuracy of the software/hardware you should have to dink around with moving that cut line. When I make a cut line on our laser machine, it cuts right where I tell it to, give or take a smidget. Mike
