  1. Bus Wraps with UV ink... Anyone tried it?

It will work fine unless there are aggressive curves to be wrapped, as the UV ink does not stretch well without cracking under the laminate.
  2. Crumbling Vinyl on trailer

Pressure Washer will work, but you had better get a disclaimer on the paint below before hand!
  3. Mutoh Falcon 48 Potential purchase

Ok, Here's a list of what I like: Seiko Colorpainter 64 HP 9000s These both need a printhead alignment tool. (more of a jig than a tool) Roland SolJet Pro II 645ex Roland SolJet Pro III Not bad to work on....very predictable and reliable Mutoh 1604 and 1614 good print quality...some flaky...
  4. Gimme that thang!!!!!! apple keynote in progress!!!

One of many questions I am willing to pay $500 to find out....even if its just an e-book killer....I'd like to have a better way to brows the internet and reply to emails or watch movies when I travel...than my phone.....or my laptop. We will see, but I doubt it is as limited as the iPhone.
  5. Black looks very dark green under certain light

Depends on the printer and the inkset, but I agree, why dump more ink than you need to? 35/60/60/100 may work well too, but it should remain balanced all the way into the 90's. If there is a cross curve or reversal it could be a factor of bad profile.
  6. Gimme that thang!!!!!! apple keynote in progress!!!

Have you guys really watched how teenagers use computers? this is tailor made for listening to music while: watching youtube/surfing/facebook/IM/downloading music.....oh and downloading the latest Twilight book. 7. Black looks very dark green under certain light

100/100/100/100/ is causing a reversal in your chroma and hue, that is why black looks green/yellow. try c 95/ m 98/ y 92/ k 100 Your black should be a little more balanced. Also print a greyscale ramp from 0 to 100 in 5% increments see if you have color casts in your greyscale (that will...
  8. Mutoh Falcon 48 Potential purchase

If you guys dont want to believe ProWraps, fine.....but He is correct. Take it from a technician that has worked on Mutoh Falcon Outdoor series printers. They are pop rivet junk. I like to rehab solvent and UV machines and turn them for a profit. I wont touch one of those because they are...
  9. ElevenTen Inks

    Nazdar Inks
  10. Third Party Inks!!!!!!!!!

Nozzle wash is about the same thing, the only difference is you are using ink to do the same job. I find the clear solvent is cheaper.
  11. Third Party Inks!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about Canada, but the Nazdar inks do work quite well, the only issues is that the machine requires more TLC in dry conditions and a little solvent in the caps over the weekend to keep things clean...I suspect the reason for this may be a higher solvent content (thus more crusties), but...
  12. do digital prints on calendered shrink a lot?

You are correct. On Calendared Vinyls more heat, ink and UV = more shrink. Some happens quite quickly while pre-heating for printing. (some up to .25 of an inch) Remember Calendared Vinyl is trying to go back to its original shape (a big blob ) while Cast Vinyl is poured into its final shape.
  13. new neighbour...trouble begins

  15. Baby it's cold outside...

Clear cling stretched on the window frame creates an instant insulation. will save you $$$ and your shop will warm up faster. The other thing is ceiling fans to circulate the warm air.
  16. Check out this print test....

If you buy this printer be prepared to buy caps, pumps, dampers and two printheads.
  17. Ink draining out.

I have seen this before. It usually happens with the combination of new, full ink carts and a damaged or old capping station which allows a siphon to form, draining the ink to the waste ink bottle or floor.
  18. Tradeshow booth Problem

Mosh is correct the 3M VHB series has always worked for me in situations that other adhesive tapes fail. There is a VHP aggressive Velcro that will I have used to hang up 45 lb. displays. Its more like Lego than Velcro though.
