Take it down, remove the sign,take to sheet metal shop and have it duplicated and painted. The electrical is easy,the sheet metal shop should be able to do it.Make new inserts,install and clean up.

I would make the sign and take it to a frame shop and have a frame made .
It would look great and be more rigid.
Then just mount the frame with stand offs concealed or not.
