Why would you waste your money using translucent black. Black is black. Use a 7 or 8 year opaque vinyl and it will be fine If your talking colors, then you should use translucent for them

We usually back it with white vinyl after it's printed, or if it's small enough, we gerber edge it. If it's large quantities, how about stouse.

Did you buy the adapter from Gerber ? There was always a problem with other brands, sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't. I would think if it came from Gerber, it was tested and guaranteed to work. They should be able to help you.

Maybe it is the cutting strip. I've never changed it in the 7 or so years I had it. Is it difficult to change ? I would also change the blade holder if it will help. Can that be done by me or do I need a tech for these things ?
