  1. Could not be more dissappointed in LEXJET

don't hesitate...I know I can help on the laminator for sure....maybe we can make a few bucks together.
  2. Could not be more dissappointed in LEXJET

Where in Indiana are you located? If/when I'm in the area, I'll swing by and teach you how to run the laminator and maybe provide a 2nd set of eyes on your print/cut problems.
  3. Canon Colorado 1650 Ink Errors

    replace them all...
  4. UV Flatbed Printer Experience

Look at Fluid Color. www.FluidColor.com They make wide open flatbed printers...by wide open I mean you can adjust just about any feature on the unit. You can do 90% of the fixes yourself. Great people behind the unit. Excellent pricing. The machines can be upgraded in the field for more...
  5. Advice on laminator

Having worked for Seal for most of my career, we came out with hand crank systems simply to take a ton of cost out. At first, I wasn't a fan...but you can really fine-tune the pressure which is nice...After a few weeks of using one, I was pretty sold. The drawback is it is very difficult to...
  6. Advice on laminator

Hi Geneva - The flatbed "applicator" tables are awesome for sheet laminating (not as good as a roller laminator, though!), mounting prints to boards, premasking, and applying cut vinyl to substrates. When you aren't using the roller to apply things, it is a giant worktable with a light and a...
  7. For Sale Two PRISTINE old-school Seal laminators for sale

One of my old customers in Chicago has a Seal 5500 and Seal 600D he is no longer using. He has kept the units in immaculate condition and despite the units being as old as they are, they still look brand new. No cuts in the rollers at all. If you don't know about the Seal 5500, it might be...
  8. issue with laminated coroplast signs printed on HPFB750

I'm guessing your pressure is too high on your laminator...and it is difficult for the laminate to get into all those "hills and valleys"....might want to run with some heat. As a guy who sells laminate to put shoes on my kids' feet, even I would question why laminating a cheap sign like this...
  9. HELP! Window Perf hates HP LATEX

While I'm at it, the Panorama One perf from Continental is priced very aggressively. We sell the 80/20, 70/30, and 60/40 rolls of 54"x164' for only $391.00. Lately that seems to match the price of other brands' 100 foot rolls.
  10. HELP! Window Perf hates HP LATEX

I'm unaware of any problems my customers have with Continental Panorama perf on latex. If you send me your UPS or FedEx number I can send you a test roll at no cost.
  11. Colorado 1650 and Colorado M5W

I've got a customer with both...but with his M series he does not have white. He does not get identical output from both printers but will after he finally starts to make some of his own profiles. he is going to have Onyx come out for two days to train him on consistent output from machine to...
  12. Seal GBC Flatbed applicator

I've seen them at the shows....they look fine and I was sort of surprised at the price as well. I'd reach out to Brian Gibson at Seal...he's been there forever and is one of the greatest techs in the industry...he is crazy honest and I'm sure a conversation with him will help you feel good...
  13. Printer Recomendation

The Colorado would be something you should absolutely consider from an ink savings perspective (and speed). You'll likely cut your ink costs in half or more....and most people live in the 400sf/hour range for the M5. With some cast vinyl you may need to slow down to the low 200's but most...
  14. Threat of Closing this year...

I'll reach out before my next trip to Chicago. I'll show you some materials you'll be able to sell for a lot more than banners and make more margin!
  15. Arlon dog 4400 for wall wraps

Try Retac from Drytac. It is stocked in Richmond, too. Retac is a 6mil film with no stretch (semi-rigid). Comes in a smooth, Canvas, Linen, and Sand texture. The textures hide the imperfections in the wall and you wouldn't laminate them. best of all, if the wall is a well primed and painted...
  16. suggestions for good photo paper

Try the Performance Paper. Inexpensive and dries instantly. It isn't the typical shiny paper..more of a satin look. I move about 300 rolls a month of this out of my Cleveland warehouse. I believe Treck Hall sells it.
  17. In need of a fabric banner

What type of printer do you have? Or will you need to farm it out? I've got tons of customers in Chicagoland and Milwaukee who would gladly bang out your job on some great fabrics. Let me know and I'll make an introduction.
  18. Threat of Closing this year...

What are you primarily producing? I focus on selling films which are more profitable than just banner and adhesive vinyl on a board.....as I say all the time, I try to find films which are not commodity films where both of us can make some money. I'm in Chicago all the time...maybe we can meet...
  19. Window Film Solution

I agree with Pete....run it reverse on a clear and then back it with VinylEfx which has clear adhesive and will give you a silver look. Expensive, though. Why not print on the silver VinylEFX outdoor durable film and put it on the outside of the window?
  20. Orafol 2640-10G Can I use it?

I would think so. There's likely no harm in trying to print on it to see if you get any adhesion. Plotting it should represent no issue. I've not worked with it, but judging by the specs, the only unique aspect is that it is pretty thick at nearly 8mils so you'll have to get your blade force...
