I take my Roland CL cartridge apart when it reads empty and cut the bag open then pour the 1/2 ounce or more of solution into a container. It works great.

If it happens all the time there could be something small blocking the sensor. When it happens on my graftecs I just press 1 and reposition the head then enter.

I print 030 magnet material all the time,, just went through 30 rolls in four months.. If you need Only three, get the material and apply vinyl onto it then hand cut. If you need 25 of each I can do.

I'm using flexi 21 with the 9000, it has some hiccups. I now make the barcode large on the roll setting and make sure the right side pinch roller does not touch the black bar portion of the barcode.

I run five graftec 8600-130, one 8600-160 and a 9000-140 and only do straight through and kiss cuts all in the channel not on the strip. So there is no need to stop the cutting and change the blade position to do different style cuts on the same job. Every style/brand, laminated or not...

Sounds like the customer wants to try to do cheap by buying one magnet for the price of one and a half. You can only see one side of the magnet at a time because it adheres to metal. It's not going on a window.

I do offset printing in house when I can find the stock needed for the job. One and Two color printing, Business cards, Letterhead, Envelopes, Carbonless forms. Full color stuff I send out to 4 over or Printing for Resale in Jacksonville. Great prices and plenty room for profit.

Old non working or half working printers and cutters aren't worth the hassle of dealing with the time involved trying to sell them.. I just sent a Mutoh VJ1608 to the scrap yard along with two Kona cutters. Took less than 15 minutes to push everything out the door onto the scrappers trailer.

I've had similar cutting issues on a graftec. To resolve 90% of the problems, I increased the size of the bar code to large and shaded the shop lights from reflecting on to the barcode on the printed vinyl. I figured this out by closely watching my cutters read its marks.

I have had good success when putting transparent tape over the marks or applying registration marks from other jobs exactly over the existing marks.

I did pad printing in the early 90's. (Lighters, key chains, golf balls, ink pens). It was fun and profitable then. Sold it all off for $100 to hobbyists. He then traded to an automated press and banked. Haven't heard from him in 15 years.

My Flexi 21 is doing the same thing. Weather it's sending a print file to the Roland or just a cut file to the Graftec. Happens a couple times a week.
