Haven't messed with profiles much, been able to get the colors that I need with the canned profiles from Flexi or downloaded from vendors. Flexi does have a Color Profiler built into the Production Manager, and it'll do full profiles.
There is a whole slew of settings you can tweak from passes...
We use Flexi 10.5 here and I haven't had any issues running our L25500 with it. I did try Onyx 10 for a little bit, didn't delve into it a lot though. We had Onyx 7 and with our JV3 and I did use it over Flexi with that printer.

Have you setup your OPUS sensor for the laminated media? With our S-140T I have different "profiles" for different media that we cut. Have one for regular laminated media and another for reflective for example.
Helps a lot and is more reliable in reading the marks here.

Used the Sihl stuff here. Like was said above, have to feed it out past the heater and then tape it to a core for some weight, stuff likes to curl like crazy.
Have you tried going ahead and adjusting the pressure on your cutter? Not the fix you are wanting through the PM, but it'll get the work out without this issue.
And which cutter do you have?
Sounds like you might have a panel margin set. Check the second tab in the rip window, it'll be the entry field next to the box with four arrows pointing outward.
We had some Summa prints put in a car wash and some of the chemicals that are used there took the ink off. Don't care about the print process, if someone says it'll be around chemicals you need to laminate.
