That has been my first thought but we have yet to get one. Figure that will be something that will be asked if we contact tech support, may be going out to get one today.
Just noticed that we are having some drying issues on some heavily saturated colors, but only on one side of the prints. So much so that there was actually ink transfer from the front of the vinyl to the carrier sheet. It seems that the left side of the printer (when looking at it from the...
There is only one situation I would look at an all in one, and that is if I was doing a mobile setup where space was key.
I like separates, and the time you spend loading the vinyl into your other plotter also sees your printer part way into is next job.
We have a eight year old JV3, and it was a great printer. Do wish that the HP had the width of its solvent brothers, but we rarely need the extra width.
That's more volume of ink then my supplier told me to use when figuring ink costs, so your costs would already be lower then what I figured as worse case going in.
Its troubling to me that people spend as much as they do on equipment without knowing what to expect with it.
I had this issue when we were doing some test prints on the 30" HP vinyl that came with the printer when it was set up. The temps were lowered from what the rip settings were in Flexi, and I was feeding the material back so that there was at most 1" out in front of the rollers. Tried different...
I don't think I could go back to a single monitor. What sucked was when I tried to have two 19" crt monitors on my desk, makes you love lcds that much more.
Trying to get dual monitors setup on every computer in our office, think it helps productivity a lot.
It sounds like something wasn't setup completely.
Did you enable the take-up reel in the menu system on the printer? That obviously should work, but we were told to just leave that off.
For the take-up reel it shoots a beam from the front right of the printer across to a module on the cross...
There is a perf that it sold with an adhesive roll for what you are wanting to do. I think our Midwest rep showed it to us earlier this year.
White face with a black back, Panofilm.
When we were testing our contour cutting problem we were taking the prints directly out of the printers and into the cutters.
The test prints off of the JV3 curled within minutes of being cut, the test cuts off of the HP prints didn't, and still have not lifted.
Ended up being one of two things.
Either the HP vinyl that was included with the printer or not enough of a leading edge.
With the HP vinyl I had been starting printing a little over an inch into the vinyl. When I loaded some 3M 35C-10 I went ahead and rolled out a little more and the problem...
Got the printer setup yesterday and the banners printed great. Tried some contour jobs on the included HP 42" media and they are off. All of this is using Flexi 10 and a Summa S140T.
I printed the exact file on our JV3 and it cut perfectly.
Printed the file on the JV3 and used the HP cut file...
Working great. Just demoing the different settings to see what will work for me. Ran several vinyl and banner jobs already. She will be back in the morning to go over maintenance and such.
Question for everyone. Are you running Hi or Lo on the ink? Doing some test prints and in Flexi there is a hi and lo option, didn't know what everyone else was using? And how many pass while I am asking?
