  1. Your Opinions Needed!

I'd be nervous to hand over the equipment in return for credit on future orders. What if they can't run it or it breaks down? Better to sell for a reasonable price and he already has two guaranteed clients himself and you.
  2. Landscape Logo input

The simple one, but drop the LLC. It doesn't have to be there and just adds messes up the design
  3. Opinions on backlit signs with printers that print white

I get day/night prints from Wyld GFI in NJ, they are great and hold up well
  4. Environmentally Friendly Print Media, with Adhesive... Please Recommend!

paper, cardboard, wood. I still don't understand why coroplastic isn't recyclable
  5. Vinyl Availability

Yep. Been going on for a while. I have been buying all over the place and all brands.
  6. Removeable Graffiti?

You could use pallet wrap, that clear "saran wrap" they use to keep boxes together. The guys here used it to create a clear graffiti "wall" at an event. Not sure how smooth you could get it on a vehicle and you have to be sure to cover everything, overspray is a bitch
  7. Hockey puck labels

Agree, vinyl decals on pucks are strictly presentation only.
  8. Magnetic sign price check

Magnets are one of those weird products, would you charge the same price for lettering a pair of truck door aprx the same size as you would for a pair of magnets?
  9. Pricing Dimensional Letter Sign

mark up 50-100% and add your sales and install time. Your business name is 3Ds and you do very little dimensional work?

  11. Substrate question

I thought is was about a Japanese company making cars
  12. What should I learn from this?

On windex, ammonia evaporates just about the same as alcohol. Just don't use it as an application fluid and you are fine. Most do 90% of install dry anyhow.
  13. What should I learn from this?

Cast vinyl and proper prep of the surface would have taken care of the install issues. (and it's apparently heresy to some but I have used plain Windex to clean most surfaces (there are exceptions) for 40 years and its has never been a problem)
  14. Marching Band Parade Banners

and be sure to tell them to roll the banner up poles & all to store it, never fold it
  15. Marching Band Parade Banners

I've done many. Doesn't need to be 18oz, 15oz is fine. I put pole pockets top & bottom. Use white pvc plumbing pipe, top pole extends 18" or so on either side. Bottom pole is smaller and shorter, so it doesn't stick out. 48" is too tall, you don't want to have to hold it up for a whole parade.
  16. Substrate question

I'd get a price from Charleston or similar wholesaler for an aluminum frame/face sign that is powdercoated.
  17. Football Sideline Signs

thanks for the leads, I will post if I find a solution. I could just buy from the original place I found, but so can my client. Or they may just go back to coro triangles when they see the cost
  18. Football Sideline Signs

We've done coro a frames that worked well, and the pvc framed ones which were ok But they have a new manager and they want to look at these. From what I can see thay are 3" thick foam which hinges open somehow and has a banner velcoed over it.
  19. powdercoat and vinyl

I did a project with powdercoated blanks and cast vinyl. Worked fine.
