  1. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

Wasting money on 64 bit processor?? Are not all the new processor from AMD and Intel 64 bit compatible. Its just what you have to buy anymore.
  2. Plotter life

We have our Summa T-1010 going strong for 10 years now. I consider the Mimaki CG-130FX we got with our JV3 as its backup, you just can't compare a tangential cutter with a drag knife.
  3. Font ID

That'll work, perfect. I had that font, uninstalled, by my font id program missed it.
  4. Font ID

Any guesses?? I have some that are close, but not close enough if I can find a better match.
  5. Sarsaparilla continues to evolve

Looks good, maybe you could do another special package when you get done with it. I missed getting in on your last one.
  6. CASmate Pro vs. FlexiEXPERT

I used to, but have moved on long since then. Now I don't think that I would want to go back. Forget about the little nuances with Casmate, having to deal with Windows 98 again, gives me the shivers.
  7. Do you have a graphics Degree?

I started the graphic design program at Pittsburg State University the year after high school. Unfortunately all of the intro classes where going over everything that I already knew and quit. I probably should of continued the program, because I am still learning new tricks that I can do with...
  8. computer help

    It NEVER does that
  9. ? about Flexi on 2 puters?

What Bob is talking about will work just fine. Just have to make sure that the copy of Flexi is closed on your computer before your wife tries to load it and you will be fine.
  10. Goofing around with Photoshop

205lbs for a rott, thats like twice what the AKC ideal breed weight is, thats definitely one big dog. And I thought our 10 month old, 95lb Alaskan Malamute was big.
  11. 3D software

I got a little itch to do something different for a proof layout that we did last week so I went searching for 3D design software so that I could do a full 3D rendering of the sign to show the customer. I was basically wondering if anyone else messed with this kind of stuff and which programs...
  12. Page displaying problem

    Take it as a sign.
  13. Dust Collector

We got a unit from Grizzly, good product and can't complain about it. I recommend Grizzly for most of the heavier shop equipment, bandsaws, shears, drill presses, etc.
  14. What is Pen Mode?

First thing I would do is check you cutter settings under the Plot/Cut (?) window. Its possible that Flexi could be sending a pen plot command to the plotter. I know that when I go to recut an old job that was designed on an earlier version of Flexi I have to reset the cutter settings because...
  15. UPS on your printer??

Doug does live in Hawaii, forget replacing the card, thats a free expense paid trip to Hawaii, would you want to pass that up. :Big Laugh
  16. UPS on your printer??

We run our printer on a UPS, and I personally think that it isn't a bad idea to at least run your printer through something that at least makes sure the printer is getting "clean" power. I can understand not putting your printer on a UPS if you don't get one that is big enough. And what is...
  17. Name this font . . .

I am using a font from the Windsor family
  18. Name this font . . .

I found it. Ran it through whatthefont again this morning after I straightened the text and it found it.
  19. Name this font . . .

Any ideas, the R looks familar.
  20. Flexi question - jagged lines

Probably nothing, without some time, there usually isn't anything you can do with a low quality image file that most customers bring in. The only tip I can give that might of helped here is use the Bezier vectorize option, it works a lot better. Also, if you are printing it, why did you...
